Why the **** not. We all wanted him last year. He could be real good. If we aren’t getting anyone else, why not.
I watched Noland play as a senior in high school in person, and I watched Nickel play as a junior in high school in person. Booth played on excellent teams, Langston Hughes and Milton. I can understand why coaches want Noland with his frame and arm. He translates to the college game on athletic ability. He had a good performance and congrats to him on winning a state championship. My sentiments haven't changed. From a traits stand point he is serviceable. Can he improve? Yes, but the arm talent he lacks most likely wont improve drastically enough for him to become an elite level college QB. He is (at best)more mobile version of a Miller Moss.
I watched both and I think nickel is more athletic than Air. Air was peak during his junior season and bulked up which took away his twitchynessI watched Noland play as a senior in high school in person, and I watched Nickel play as a junior in high school in person. But of the 2 there was no question that Nickel was the far more accurate passer. Nickel is not the athlete that Noland is but he is the more polished QB coming out of high school. And whereas Nickel was outstanding in the championship game, he was very accurate all through the season. I was able to watch some games on TV as well. The championship game was not an aberration for Nickel.
Probably because Miami's not interested. If they bring someone in it'll be someone with experience and numbers. Why is there no smoke here????
I fear we may have ruined our chances after he was sent to Purgatory….Why is there no smoke here????
Again, I don't really disagree, but this is the current climate of CFB. And for what it's worth, I like Nickel more than Air Noland. It's really a delicate process of managing your numbers. It's not like it used to be where kids compete. Kids will just bounce and you have to fill that void.I can’t stand this kind of thinking. This is the exact opposite of competition. You bring in as much talent as you can and you let them compete for the job. If the loser transfers out, so be it. The idea of just giving the starting quarterback position to someone just because they’ve been on the roster longer is horrible.
why would there be? he blew his shot - we're looking for experience in the portal. if we're going for unproven - luke nickel is already signedWhy is there no smoke here????

Because we don’t want himWhy is there no smoke here????
That’s why he’s leaving Ohio state competition is to muchWho said he has to be the immediate starter? competition is great especially when there is no proven qb on the roster.
OSU coaches found out he couldn't throw in cfb......kept him on the bench knowing he would never play and they were hoping eventually he transferred to clear a roster spot. And thats what happened, all staffs do this. Keep someone on the bench they misevaluated till they hit the portal. That’s why he’s leaving Ohio state competition is to much
So why are fans justifying himOSU coaches found out he couldn't throw in cfb......kept him on the bench knowing he would never play and they were hoping eventually he transferred to clear a roster spot.
