Terrifying that this is still happening in year 4 under Mario. I thought by now he would have had this kind of stuff worked out. When he got here we were all told that his main focus will be on recruiting.

We have had a pretty successful time in the portal so far this year so maybe a mistake happened on this specific circumstance.

I'm not necessarily mad at Ferman but in all honesty, is there another city in college/pro where local reporters go out of their way more than those in Miami to make the local teams look bad or dysfunctional? Maybe they all do and i just don't see it bc i don't follow those teams.

Seems like what happened was that Ferman was used a pawn to leak this news to soften the blow instead of a direct phone call that he should no longer visit. I could be wrong though but this happens all the time when owners in the NFL leak news intentionally to the media for negotiations.

I’ve been saying it for a while. Dennis smith is a mess. He’s killing relationships and recruitments. He is hurting us much more than he is helping. we need a real GM and A lot more organization in the recruiting dept.

How’d he find out you suppose? I mean the kid didn’t know , the agent didn’t know. With something like this there’s no doubting where It came from. Fact is the person that told him should’ve just kept his mouth shut. Gary doesn’t know if that happens.

What surprises me isn't the eval process, or the fact they failed to notify the player and his agent promptly. It was New Year's Eve, so that's even excusable. But I'm shocked that their decision to not pursue was leaked. Bad look there.

Whoever that leaker is, it's a really really bad look. Mario needs to address it. When Randy or Golden staffers did stuff like this, it created a negative vibe that impacted other recruits.
