Offense

- Wildcat with Dallas Crawford
- Halfback pass by either RB or WR pass with Crawford in the slot
- More counters to play off what we've been showing with Walford in motion over the last couple weeks
- Morris pull the ball down and try to pick up 8-10 instead of fading backward and to the side
- Waiting for Coach Coley to unveil some route trees that include crossing routes from each side
- Coach Coley to show trips and flood so that Morris can focus on half the field

Defense

- Less games/stunts that we've shown all season
- A few more S/CB blitzes
- Would prefer to matchup than to see Greene find holes in our zone
- Not too much new stuff because we're not going to get too fancy

What do you guys expect?

Nice job Lu, those all make perfect sense.....lets see what we actually implement. I really like the idea of some wildcat with Crawford. We know we are going to want to run the ball, and I really think that's where we can victimize that defense.

The general theme of your 'offense' take is that coach Coley will break tendencies for this game. Im hopeful but not optimistic.

I'd like to see a PA end around and have Morris hit Clive or Duke/Dallas. Similar to what the Dolphins did vs the Patriots today when Tannehill hit Thomas.

I'm looking for the same game plan as the Fla game. Plus we know they are passing so hopefully McCord and Muhammed come to the party..

I think we're been holding back a lot on offense. We're been really vanilla and basic in our schemes. If Fisch really left his playbook for Coley I have to believe we'll see some of his plays. One thing Fisch had was a ton of different formations, which I haven't seen so far in the season.

They may be light in the *** right now, but their speed off the edge would create opportunities for our D.

I think we'll see less of Crawford subbing in.

Playmakers gotta be full hands on deck.

Defensively, I expect us to mix it up. We'll alternate coverages and try to give Winston different looks.

Yes sir. Great stuff.

Let's not forget this game does not end the season, if we take care of business for the rest of the year we get them twice this year.

Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but I want to believe that a lot of what we've been slowly sprinkling in (in the run game and in our motions) were done as "build up" to this 2-game series we've got against FSU and VTech.

I disagree about Crawford. He carried the load against NC and Duke Saturday. Crawford will get the tough yards this coming weekend.

My kingdom for more:

-RB screens to Duke and Crawford
-Vertical seam routes to Walford
-Short crossing routes as an extension of the running game.

I'm holding out hope we've purposely ignored these routes...saving them for this game.

I believe that there is some "stuff" that we are saving. I believe you are onto something.

I don't have much to say about VT other than they should just punt on first down and hope for their D to score points. That game against Duke is one of the craziest things ever.

VT held Duke to 13 points, under 200 total yards and forced four INTs. Duke had the ball for 20 minutes. 20 farking minutes.

How does VT respond? They throw 4 INTs and miss two FGs.

If VT could score 21 points and not turn it over, they would be pretty difficult too beat for anyone with that D.
