Feel like JT will be taking him on as his personal project. Thought I heard an interview where he said how much Moss reminds him of himself in collegeNot Gogeta, but I think Moss flashes some value *this* year. Would be shocked if Guidry doesn't play him as a stand up pass rush specialist and just let him isolate on some TEs and defenseless OTs out wide. In a traditional role, he might struggle to show much, but in a subpackage where he just runs upfield and bends around the corner or runs twists/games underneath, I think he can give us a couple plays.
I seem him getting snaps this yearAwesome to hear. Thanks.
You mentioned Moss. Do you ever see him contributing here? I don’t care how quick he is or about his bend - he just looks outmatched size-wise. And I am not talking about Bain size, like a little short. He’s just so slim and so is his frame.
This year, we have a tier of elite, first-round type grades. There are about six or seven kids on that list. The whales. Lightfoot was one of them.
i'm gonna keep it real...I NEVER watched this kids film as i never expected him in the class.
Now i can officially watch...
- Closes on the ball in a hurry
-Motor. This is what i want from my DL. Kid has it for sure.
- Uses his hands really well...is more physical than expected. He uses his hands to jolt back tackles alot..not just str8 running around guys that are working in Hot topic after high school
- Frame. His frame looks like it can hold another 20-25 pounds rather easily.
Him and Moss are guys you put in a wide 9 and torment tackles.
Actually like that he is running on specials that may get him to make travel squads right away here.
Comp for him is a lengthier (Pause)....
Beasley was a PROBLEM in the ACC...
His combine numbers.
I want Lightfoot to play here around that 240 range his whole career an keep that motor.
I'd trade a chance at Stewart and a couple other supposed "whales" for DTs Breland and Jones. Is there any way fans can make these trades?
with his size, tape, and stats, was isn't he a 5 star?
I really hadn’t looked at his tape because I thought we didn’t have any chance with him, and it looked like we were targeting Stewart. Is that 4.25 shuttle time for real? That would have been the fastest shuttle at the nfl combine by a DE this year and 14th (t) best overall. Lukas Van Ness was 13 for GB and he went 4.3. Thats truly elite if accurate
Agreed. Moss can also provide deception with his ability to move in space. He is a former safety and has a 4.2 shuttle. There was a play in the spring game where he blew up a screen to Robby Washington and looked very fluid. Not Gogeta, but I think Moss flashes some value *this* year. I'm not s scout, and I don't shoot my wad over highlight vids. I like his. A good deal.with his size, tape, and stats, was isn't he a 5 star?
Why can’t Moss be a poor man’s Isaiah Simmons with a focus on pass rushing?Agreed. Moss can also provide deception with his ability to move in space. He is a former safety and has a 4.2 shuttle. There was a play in the spring game where he blew up a screen to Robby Washington and looked very fluid.
