Can’t tell you all how much I love hearing these stories. It’s truly incredible how we all came to be Canes from all over the country and even Italy. LOlL.

Born at Baptist Hospital in the late 80’s. Grandmother and Uncle are both alums. I was born into it

Because how could I not. I grew up 15 minutes from taints stadium and watched that boring brand. Once I saw the swagger, I was hooked. Cane for life.

Liked watching Otis Anderson with the Giants and got one of his cards and saw The University of Miami as his college, so here we are. So, then I started reading about the University and saw they won a baseball championship in 82, I was born in 82 so the stars aligned before I even entered this world. Also, I remember watching the 93 Sugar Bowl with my brothers who are Maryland and Nebraska fans, only for them to tell me Miami sucked and laugh their asses off at me during the game. Had the starter puffy jacket and all. Last but not least, loved the “Miami Hurricanes” or “the Hurricanes of Miami” just has a nice ring to it.

My neighbors growing up (the 80s) were a Notre Dame family

1987 Miami Notre Dame sitting up by the fence on top deck of the WEZ was game 1 of this wicked love affair. Went on to graduate from the U in 1996. Man I feel old.

I was born into this. My dad is one of the UTrailblazers. I and all but one of my siblings are second-generation 'Canes.

My road record is not as good.

had no affiliation to the university whatsoever until i ended up there as a college freshman in 2012. was actually born in knoxville TN and grew up a relatively casual vols fan, but that all fell by the wayside when i attended UM. now it's orange and green all day.

I do remember the game and Freddy was in two of my classes. He was a very nice person and a **** of an athlete. I too was in attendance at the ole Sombero

So many years have passed that I had to look it up to to remind myself the University of Tampa missed a FG at the end of the game and the Canes held on 28-26.

I still remember two things:

1. Freddy Solomon was just amazing

2. Every time I said something about Miami winning, one of my brothers would reach across and punch me and my dad (RIP) would tell 'em to knock it off

Man, it's crazy the things you remember from way back when

Watched the Canes get their *** beat by Oklahoma in 2007.

Never cared about college football at all prior to then.

1975 in Key West. Played baseball and across from the park was George Myra's pizza. After every game we use to go there. He had all his stuff on the walls about him at the U. Became a fan right then and there. Never met George I believe his brother ran that place.

The Pizza Huddle. I remember going there as a kid. I was probably 5 or so when it closed.
