Honest question, and then I'm going to recruit to the basketball board, because I stand 93% of the posters on here:

If the entire class had signed today, Lo, Jordan, Mallory, Blades, etc. And, we still missed on the AH guys, would people still be whining and complaining? I understand not getting the AH guys, but do people realize we still signed four, 4-star DBs?

Great point and very underrated post. We missed on some players for sure. However, every team missed on players. We signed 14 (4*) recruits and 1 (5*). Of that group, 4 of them are DB's. Not to mention that we signed arguably the best hidden gem in the country, Jordan Miller.

I am just as ****ed about the misses as everyone else, but it is beyond stupid and absurd for anyone to look at this class as a failure. We are not that far removed from the era when it would take 2 recruiting classes for us to have the amount of talent that we locked up in Storm18. How quickly people forget.

They were much lower on our class than the industry, is what it is

Looks like they are down of both FSU and UF classes as well. They probably aren't valuing the recruits in the state of florida as highly in general as the other sites if I were to guess without looking too thoroughly.

Don’t know what’s going on with FSU as I dont Think they signed that many guys from Florida this class but they clearly are doing it with UM class. Most of the guys we had committed dropped every update

Everyone acknowledged we weren’t ending up #1.
On top of that we are a total of 5 points from having the #4 class in the country, if our guys weren’t sh*tted on in the rankings by 247 then would would be the #4 class for sure

Clemson's class is much better than ours. Some people don't understand how to analyze rankings.

They've signed FIVE five-star recruits. Dominant OL/DL haul. Our class has more quantity, but their blue-chip ratio is superior. The gap widened even further today.

If you're going be stars, we matched Clemson in DTs. Have an edge on them in terms of offensive linemen (although they have one of the nation's top OTs). They do have us beat on quality and number of DEs though; which we're now hurting on.

Now we're chasing Clemson. With Taggart at FSU and finally beating them forcing Jimbo to leave, I feel we've passed FSU.

But we still have a ways to go given that Clemson returned their entire d-line.

I really don't think we were targeted and "****ted on." I'm sure every school has a few guys they think should be ranked higher, and they may certainly be correct.

Go look at the rankings, no one else in the top 10 had a 3 stop difference in the spots that the composite rated them on and what 247 had the class rated. Remember they have guys like reed, Mallory, cam Davis rated as 87 and 88 respectively. Brevin Jordan rated in the 70s when he should be top 40 at the least.
