who says this what you look at? I would prefer to have more recruits than higher average and this is why: there will be a lot of 3 stars that turn out better than 4 and 5 stars. do yourself a favor and go look back at the top 200 from 2014-2017 and see who actually turned out to be quality. you will be surprised. exhibit A: Kyle Wright.

Congratulated a buddy of mine since his kid signed with a small school today. He knows Marques Ezzard very well. He has seen him live about 40 times. this is what he just sent me:

Thanks sir! I have watched Marquez for 4 years and he is one of the best HS football players I've seen. He will do well at the U!

Except when you factor in that we took a FB and a kicker, that lowers the average. I wouldn't trade those two for any other FB or kicker, and sure wouldn't drop them for a so called higher average.

Lol. Are you kidding? That is part of recruiting. They are 2-3 star kids just like other classes have. Point is, from top to bottom, we are 9th out of the top 10 teams in quality of class. If it makes you feel better to spin it how you'd like, go ahead and do so. But guess what, Georgia (#1) has a punter committed, Texas (#3) has a punter and kicker committed, Penn State (#4) has a kicker committed, Clemson (#5) has a kicker committed, Alabama (#8) has a punter committed. All of those teams will end up ranked higher than us overall, and with a better average ranking per player, yet they have punters and kickers committed.

So does that mean this class sucks? Look I wish we would have gotten one or both of the AH CBs just as much anyone but let's stop trying to downgrade this class because we didn't.

I hope you never get put in charge of any business. Just because we are top 4 doesnt mean there are holes. No one is complaining bout the offensive recruiting. We can be number 1 every year, but if we dont lock down defense we will never win anything.

That's what these guys can't get. The one area we're in bad shape at we pretty much **** the bed. DL is where nattys are won and ours is far from that level . Depth and talent is miles away.

Then mix in losing majority of our contributors from last year. Numbers are a mess.

The O class was elite , and that's why we're ranked so high.

We are going to finish up 7 most likely, usc closing strong and bama could still get Jaylen waddle

They have a good class coming tbd if it's great. Y'all say can't listen to the experts but since they tell you the sky blue it's flooding outside now it's time to believe they know this 6 class better then 8. Carry on 😿😿

I don't know why people were expecting us to stay this high when we got low 3 star players to close and other schools are getting 4/5 star players to close. Simple logic.

It laughable how people were saying this was the "best recruiting class in UM history." Clemson and USC passed our class and only needed 17 players to do it.

****ed we missed on 2 5* CBs but we have 4 signed so it’s not as big a deal as missing on Nesta would’ve been
