At his best, he's an energy guy that is a long, rangy defender. Offensively, he gives you little, unless his jumper is hitting, which is a rarity. I think Casey is a better option right now, which is an indictment of what Walker is at this point of his career.

Great Defensive possession to end the half...

We’re in control, we just have to not fall for playing into UVA’s hands, they cut the lead from 10 down to 4 because they slowed the pace down & we stopped pushing the pace of the ball, they lulled us to sleep periodically until Wong did a great job pushing it down the court off a rebound.

We got this sh*t, just have to keep playing our game & be the 2nd half Canes we’ve been all season.

We took their best punches in the first half & they’re not hitting that hard right now, just come out in the 2nd half & continue attacking the basket.

Wong did a good job with on ball pressure, Omier read the switch off perfect & didn’t trap until the screen was phased out...

They had no good looks at a shot because Wong & Omier played it perfect.
 
Good to go into the half up 10, 36-26. Wong looked great in the 1st half and he was the best player on the floor for either team. Like what I'm seeing from Omier. He's missed a couple of bunnies around the rim but he's been battling and taking up space in the paint. Doing a great job of not picking up silly fouls. Seems like he's really focused defensively. He's establishing position, maintaining it and just walling up forcing VA to make shots over him. Miller has given us some good minutes as well. And good contribution from Benz off the bench. Going to need more of this in the 2nd half.

So he will get no minutes in second half. He gave good minutes against St Francis. Even the few against NC State were fine. Good minutes against Louisville. Horrible stretch tonight.
 
Pack needs to take a good look at himself and come out firing this half. Before this season he was the only one on Miami near draft boards, but in a high ranked matchup it’s Wong(who’s been stellar all season) and Omier(who’s also been great) who are looking like draft prospects. The spotlight is shining the brightest it has been all season, and UVA also has an undersized guard to take advantage of. Hopefully Pack comes out applying the pressure and hits a few threes. I feel like we’ll need him if we want to win this game.
