If you’re D$, there’s two possibilities:

1. The people in the program that give insider information, are spreading lies to you.

2. The staff isn’t lying and actually does believe Emory is the guy.

I’m not sure which one I’d want to be true.

This reminds me of when Tua got hurt and Skylar Thompson came in.

Dolphin fans thought he could do something since the last time he saw meaningful action he was competitive against Buffalo in the playoffs on the road.

And Thompson had been in McDaniel’s system for a couple of years.

Enter Emory. Last meaningful game he played in, he gave eventual undefeated fsu a scare.

And he’s been in the system for a couple of years.

He even caused the dude he was competing for the backup job to transfer again.

So here is the only scenario which still makes the coaching staff look incompetent:

They truly believed based on what Emory showed in practice they could win so they would only pursue portal qbs that were game changers.

They were clearly wrong about Emory. And he is the same qb from the fsu game.

That’s on the coaching staff for not developing. And that’s on the coaching staff for having him as the backup.

What if Cam Ward was out a couple of games like Tua? We would’ve been out of the playoffs in October.

Just like it was malpractice for McDaniel to go with Skylar Thompson. It is malpractice for Mario to potentially have Emory as our qb1 next year.

To me this is just another failure on behalf of Cristobal. Emory was nothing special in high school and it doesn't look like he is talented enough to be a starting QB for a power four school. This is on Mario.

Its funny I was never on the Emory train but he is a lot worst then even I expected. I had low expectations too and he somehow was worst.

Guys I have no clue wtf they were talking about from the youtube world is Toast, Scoop, Roman, Uheard, FLo, Donno, Blu, NMD cane

All of those guys I mention were high on Emory and had confidence he could play if we went with him next year. Some of them wanted Emory over Mendoza LMAO

The fact we tried to see what an unranked diamond in the rough had in a bowl game that could’ve gave us 11 wins has me feeling like Mario might not be the guy. It was no reason to play Emory. I get some people are fans of under dogs but this guy isn’t the answer and never has been for Miami.


We got ****ed out of rashaada by the gators and it basically left us with this dud of a qb.Because we don’t want to over spend for an unproven qb so we’re taking flyers on fiu level qbs ok cool hit the portal thou and spend and get a good one don’t waste our season trying to figure out if this average player is good when we could win 11 games bruh im really disappointed in that **** he did yesterday.

What amazes me is Mario and Dawson probably knew for weeks that Emory was going to play the entire 2nd half and honestly gave the kid zero chance.
