Mario playing Emory in the second half of Orlando reminds me of the QB moves he made last year that proved the doubters wrong.

Last year after Emory got hurt he put TVD in to finish the game vs FSU, He proceeded to pick up exactly where he left off against NCSt proving that he wasn't going to be our QB in 2024. He was in the portal a few weeks later.

Then you had another contingent of Jacurri Brown slurpers that swore he was the second coming of Lamar Jackson. He starts the entire bowl game & proves he's not a Miami caliber QB. Great athlete tho, but doesn't want to switch positions. He hits the portal after spring ball. Goes to a Malzahn offense tailored to his style, he's still cheeks.

Now Emory same story, you had a cult of followers that believed he was the goods because of his win/ heroics against Clemson/ FSU. Ok then let's find out. Cam spots him 31pts & a second half lead, he proceeds to the bed too. Delusions shattered to pieces that's why some of yall are angry right now.

Feel how you want about him but Mario has proven he will identify the problem areas and make the moves necessary to fix them. I don't expect perfection i expect solid consistent effort. He gives that plus more so I have chosen to trust the coaches on this one.

So all you haters whiners & mopes put your MONEY where your MOUTH is & help the team! Open up your pockets and give to the team/ collectives so that we can compete for a Top QB & Defensive Players.

The reality- we wanted Tow-Mater but he picked OU. There are others that will likely enter the portal that are good options. Even Cam said he was going to the NFL but decided to take Miami money and both parties won big time. Kids and agents will see this and someone will want to take Miami money for 1-2 years of starting. We then work Luke in for 2026 or 2027. Coleman hopefully is another elite that we land.

Emory looked mid to pedestrian in the 3 starts that he got last season. It takes him forever to process what he’s seeing and the routes that are being run by our WR’s. Nice kid that should not be at Miami, and is at best a low tier FCS player.

Excusing the inexcusable by saying that Wario and Dawson just wanted to see what they had in Emory is intellectually dishonest and asinine. There’s a reason why they went all out after Mateer, and that reason is Emory. Yesterday they only let him throw the ball downfield when they had no other choice at the end of the game when we needed a miracle.

Our HC keeps on proving that he is clueless when it matters the most, and that’s on gameday.

I happen to agree with you that they already knew what they had. At the very least, they had strong suspicions. What I don't understand is why they didn't go after a solid QB that wasn't Mateer . They need more than one. Unless they believe Nickel will beat out Emory for the backup job anyway.

They hoped he and the defense could hold onto the lead Cam left and that the run game expanded. It was all a hope and prayer.

They have no choice. That is not how easy works. They are desperate. Desperation causes you to make bad choices. If you don't see the recipe for disaster, I'm not sure how to simplify it further.

The fact we tried to see what an unranked diamond in the rough had in a bowl game that could’ve gave us 11 wins has me feeling like Mario might not be the guy. It was no reason to play Emory. I get some people are fans of under dogs but this guy isn’t the answer and never has been for Miami.


We got ****ed out of rashaada by the gators and it basically left us with this dud of a qb.Because we don’t want to over spend for an unproven qb so we’re taking flyers on fiu level qbs ok cool hit the portal thou and spend and get a good one don’t waste our season trying to figure out if this average player is good when we could win 11 games bruh im really disappointed in that **** he did yesterday.

super late. Just like last year with DBs, there was no urgency on getting any QBs. I didn't understand what we were doing. Seems like the plan was go all in for Mateer or nothing. I will say this some of our fanbase was being way too picky on QBs, they needed to see Emory play to see oh hey that guy isn't a bad choice lol

I didn’t want his *** as the second qb tbh he can’t run that limits an offense regardless of how good our line is why would you not want a guy who can get yards if things are covered such archaic thinking but of course people still have wet dreams about Dorsey so they think he could be the second coming and that’s not the case.

We could have went after Marcel reed lanoris sellers Austin Simmons **** Dylan rizk Darian mensah since we’re going bargain bin shopping for high upside guys my personal favorites was Rashada and Aiden chiles who was underrated until the all American bowl and is from an area Mario’s familiar with.
