5-0 heading into ND

What I do like about our chances against ND is that we fall in the middle of a sandwich in their schedule (after Michigan game, before Stanford game). Classic let down set up.
Honestly, I think an ND letdown and Miami upset is more likely than Miami being 5-0 going into the game.

Fact:

We'll be underdogs in 4 out of our first 5 games.

So, you're telling me that if we start 3-0, we'll be underdogs against GT? No way. If we start 4-0, we'll be dogs against NCST at home? Not so much.

YES at Georgia Tech. 3-0 or 0-3 won't change that.

HOWEVER, Miami would be favored over NC State if it starts 4-0!

You're both half right.

You know what'll change whether we're underdogs or not? How people are betting. Vegas doesn't set lines based on who they think will win, they set them to entice betting evenly. If everybody starts betting on Miami against BC you can bet that line moves and it would have nothing to do with practice reports, wins, losses or injuries.

I've been saying it for a while...that KSU game is one of the most important of the season for this team from a confidence standpoint.

If they can walk out of the first 5 games with 2 road wins against decent opponents (BC and KSU) it could propel us to overachieve this year.

With that said I still think we'll lose that game at KSU, hope I'm wrong.

I don't buy it...we beat BC on the road, KSU (a top 20 team) on the road, and blowout BCC...we are 3-4 point favorites headed to GT. The money will start sliding to Miami if we roll in there 3-0 and we will be favored. That aside...I sure as **** hope we are in the position going into GT undefeated where you can tell me I was wrong---cause at that point I won't give a ****.

I'm prepared for a tough season. 5-0 goin into ND? Going to be tough, but if we are we'll beat ND because the squad will be rollin with confidence. IMO.

Jedi is 100% correct! The first two games could propel this team to believe they can do anything. And once this team starts to believe in themselves then the sky will truly be the limit! Lets start with one though and worry about being 1-0! That BC game will be no walk in the park, and that also will be big for belief in the system and themselves. Lets get this **** going!!! I am ready for some games....

It's possible.

We'll learn a lot in the BC game.

If it's a death struggle, we could be in for a long season.

Unfortunately I really think most of our games are going to be a death struggle. This year I think we pull out a few we lost in the past.

I agree completely. We were in every game right down to the bitter end last year (save the BC disgrace), with every chance to pull out a win. There's no way that doesn't start to turn in our favor after some more time in the new culture. It has to. Even with all of the guys we have to replace, we're going to be replacing them with Golden's guys.

I can't say that I ever had the feeling that Jacory would put together a game winning drive - even when he was playing at a high level last year. I can say that I have seen Morris do just that in his limited time on the field - and if we're in every game like last year then I feel we'll come out with the W where we may have taken the L before.

could be a very real possibility. what say you football boarders heading into ND if we are 5-0?

It's a Real possibility. KSU is the only real challenge before Notre Dame....

People on here act like i'm suppose to be worried about playing a home game against NcState..... lol

You mean the NC state team that has beaten us the last 2 times we played them?

Do you even know anything about them? Like that they have the best passing QB in the ACC and a couple of RBs that could make for our swiss cheese defense ****. Also a ballhawking corner who picked off 13 passes last year? But yeah, we just lost to BC last year, AT HOME but we shouldn't be worried about NC State.

We didn't become THAT much better. I'd love to be wrong though.

I dunno.. I got NC STATE as a dark horse to win the Atlantic.

NC State is legit. That game is definitely NOT going to be a gimme.

As it looks to me..
BC - W Just no way we lose, even with a death struggle, but I dont see that.
KS - L Too tough too early
BCC - W Obvious
GT- W I think we still may have their number
NCSt - L I also think they may suprise and win Atlantic
ND - ? really depends what we have defensively.

Go back and watch what they did to Clemson, yes, LAST YEAR, and tell me that's not a team to worry about.
