Dorsett is a Mike Wallace type, but without the diva attitude. He can take the top off of a D like very few can. That is a very useful skill, and will open up things underneath. He also seemed to have some chemistry w/ Morris on broken plays. I don't understand all the hateration. It's not like he was a Sr last year, dang. Let the kid grow and improve.

"Hateration?" You sound like a sports announcer. I agree with everything you say, and I hate to be the vocabulary cop, but it's "hatred."
Same as there's no such thing as "trickeration." Whoever told you hateration is a word pulled a little trickery upon you.

Solid English lesson.

saying rashawn scott is a better overall talent than dorsett is possibly the single dumbest thing i've ever read on this board

Yes, I'm aware that "hateration" and "trickeration" are not real words. I used the slang term to get across a softer tone, as I don't think that people here actually hate Dorsett. It was more of them being "haters" as the kids say, downplaying his talents and impact on the offense.

I love Dorsett and feel he gets more heat than he should, but Scott has higher upside because of his size and run after the catch ability. Scott was 2nd on the team last year in yards if I'm not mistaken and missed the last few games for being an idiot with his lady.

You don't need to be a big receiver to be a #1 guy on a team
Just go ask Steve Smith, DeSean Jackson and more

Soo I don't buy into that he just needs to consistently catch that ball
And he will be ok...the kid has talent and is gifted with speed

1/3 of rashawn's yards last year came in that game vs nc st where he caught two long passes on broken offsides plays where he wasn't even covered

his hands are really inconsistent, which is a problem for someone who theoretically would play over the middle.

Needs to get his FBI up to take the next step, especially in punt returns, have seen him field multiple punts inside the 5 that led to quick tackles and bad changes of field

Five TDs in two full seasons. Will wait for things to play out before anointing him the next Randal Hill or Santana Moss.

im sorry but he doesn't have elite speed man. i havent seen it yet.

Seems to have it prior to getting the ball. Prolly the reason why we dont see a z-screens or running pl;ays designed for him; he seems to fly on deep routes, but not as much with the rock in his hands

Will he have elite speed when he runs one of the 5 fastest 40 times at the combine?

i dont think that matters because i look at how they run on the field, in pads.

Did Dorsett just get lucky numerous times every games when he got behind the entire defense? Did they just not notice him? IMO his ability to get behind the defense may have been the most consistent element of our offense. Him catching the ball once over the top is a different story...

im still holding a grudge against him for leaving his hands in miami when we played ND in chitown. i snuck 2 flasks of Jack into that game and ended up finishing them both before halftime

I was there doing the same thing! No one told me we would have to walk 5 miles after the game to get a cab!

Can we agree that he has elite speed without the ball in his hands?

i guess we could IF i believed that.

when it comes to football, it's different.

he has ELITE speed as far as the Track goes, but not on the football field
