We needed to stop the bleeding and did so in a big way. Losing Nix sucks, but landing Wiley and flipping TJ Alford would really negate the sting of Nix's flip. Nix seems like a class-act, but I personally favor both Wiley and Alford.

we HAVE the money. that is why toney is trying to leverage us. We lost Nix because of defense.
We made the decision not to over pay Stubbs. everyone is trying to misread the situation like we dont have money.
Our internal evals are different than public rankings. Like Cam Pruitt last year. internally we have Wiley and Moore higher than public rankings.

One year a 7-6 team mopped up in the portal. The same is happening this year. You just liked last year better. Nearly every single critical comment you have about this year's 7-6 recruiting cycle team could be applied to last year's team, too.
