#35 playing for a starting job

Because we have a #5 on defense too (and punting returning is a defensive play, by definition, so the other #5 is usually on the field) and you cannot have two players with the same number on the field at the same time. It's a 5-yard penalty. Otherwise you could just put ELEVEN #5 jerseys on the field at the same time, why not?

Also, I would point out that with 85 scholarship players and walk-ons (soon to be 105 scholarship players) and the concept of "retired numbers", it is much more likely (and the NCAA has allowed for) teams to have two different players using the same jersey number, and they are supposed to play on opposite sides of the ball (offensive player gets a number and one defensive player can have the same number).

THIS is not allowed on the same play:

per caneville --a walkon almost won a rep vs him... at least 35 still caught it though.

idk why that would be needed to mention as a takeaway from today

I second this. Let’s please not punish RR for having Uncle Luke in his corner.

Just root for RR and know Luke is a prick.
Says the Prick calling someone else a Prick. Man, I'm telling you canesinsight is a trip, no one is spared on this website. Anybody and Everybody can go from the penthouse to the **** house at anytime around here. Smdh

Take a poll and see if Luke is in penthouse on this site lmfao. Getting bothered by my defending a player is weird behavior

Defending that traitorous ****bag is WILD.

Wipe the juice off your forehead and take a lap my guy

Insisting that Joseph wear the 35 jersey to field punts all season long remains the most assinine exercise of all-time considering that CJ Clark wasn't even on punt return. What a nuisance.
The extra weight of the #35 jersey was definitely why he lacked any explosiveness and elusiveness on PRs
