#35 needs to be escorted to the DB Coaches office and told this is your only hope to see the field.
Any resistance, walk him down to the exit room.
Release him from any NIL obligations and let him know that his scholarship will not be renewed.
Give him the number for the FIU football offices.
This is why you won't hear me ever hate on the Horton's etc. who leverage every dollar they can in this game.

Because the second- the literal second- teams believe they have a replacement for you, they will send you on the FIU shuttle without a second thought.

It's the arena they sign up to play in, but it goes both ways.

did not know this... why though?

Because we have a #5 on defense too (and punting returning is a defensive play, by definition, so the other #5 is usually on the field) and you cannot have two players with the same number on the field at the same time. It's a 5-yard penalty. Otherwise you could just put ELEVEN #5 jerseys on the field at the same time, why not?

Also, I would point out that with 85 scholarship players and walk-ons (soon to be 105 scholarship players) and the concept of "retired numbers", it is much more likely (and the NCAA has allowed for) teams to have two different players using the same jersey number, and they are supposed to play on opposite sides of the ball (offensive player gets a number and one defensive player can have the same number).

THIS is not allowed on the same play:

Y'all need Jesus. I'm rooting for RayRay's success. I'm not letting Luke sour me on a good kid. By all reports, he's a hard a** worker. So I don't get the beef he's gotten on here from dudes who can't even run 50yds without needing a stress test.

We should want every single kid on this team to succeed because if they succeed, the team succeeds. Simple.

I thought single digit uni numbers were reserved for our “top” players?
How did CJ and RR both get single digit numbers?

All of that and there's also the chance that Clark has to be inserted into the unit unexpectedly due to injury or whatever. He's likely number two at a spot and when then you get a flag.

Not sure he ever sees the field at Miami. Small, weak, can’t catch and surprisingly slow.

Big disappointment.

Others will pass him on the depth chart and he likely transfers at some point.

He’s very small unfortunately

X is 5-9.5 and solid (200 lbs)

Ray Ray is prob 5-8 and 175

I second this. Let’s please not punish RR for having Uncle Luke in his corner.

Just root for RR and know Luke is a prick.
