2025 Schedule

Should we not try and reschedule vs easier games, since Indiana and other teams make it to the CFP with more Ws? I keep reading Bama is attempting to do so.

Winning the last 3 games is huge for recruitment, maybe move some games around?

Are you still trying to catch up on the 2024 season? I won’t spoil it for you

There is room for a couple slip ups.

The 12-game playoff has changed the way I look at the schedule.

Win the ACC or build an at-large resume by beating Notre Dame and/or Florida. There is room for a couple slip ups.
Currently in the 12-team PO there literally isn't room for a couple of slip ups for Miami.

With the Auto bids still being in place next year we could lose to ND and UF as long as we only lose 1 ACC game and win the conference. We once again avoid clemson. Louisville, Syracuse and SMU will decide the season. Need to go 2-1 and win the conference.

No excuses

1) Our Oline will be a strength again
Need a portal C, Mauigoa hit a wall and got back to his false starts/holding issues, losing the LT isn't good, who plays LG?
2) RB Room should be deep and talented again
Fletcher had a nice season, Lyle looked good against WF. Probably will need a portal transfer as a #2 vs a #1 like they did this year.
3) Defense has some young talented players
Need a new DC, and for him to not turn out like the last two DC's.
Bain
Brown
Blount
Patterson
Pruitt
Day - ST
Bryant
OJ
Popo
Pickett
McConathy
Scott
Moten
Bain is the only person on that list that's a proven starter and would a jr 3-year starter be a "young" player?

Frederique and Patterson have potential but got torched there at the end vs a real offense.

Scott made a few plays.

Is a pretty tough season ngl

We should absolutely be scheduling our super cupcake game at the end of the season at this point.

ACC should be doing us a favor and having NC St and Stanford be late in the season too.

Have us play AT pitt towards beginning/middle of season.

What would be nice is if it was:

1. ND
2. USF
3. UF
4. @ Pitt
5. @ Vtech
6. Louisville
7. @ SMU
8. Bye
9. @ FSU
10. Syracuse
11. NC St
12. Bethune
13. Stanford
Totally agree and was looking for a spot to type this. Can't have a loss be the last thing the committee sees. I also think we might have been 11 if the game with cuse had gone ***-for-tat vs blowing a 21 point lead. Yes we still would have been out even being at 11. Go Canes!

Is *rough* y'all, at least right now on paper:

Notre Dame
Bethune-Cookman
USF
Florida
@ FSU
Louisville
NC State
@ Pitt
@ SMU
Stanford
Syracuse
@ VTech

We could play as many as 5 ranked teams next year, depending on how things shake out maybe more. ND, UF (bleh), SMU, Cuse, maybe Pitt? Louisville, @VT, and NCST will also be tough outs IMO.

If UF and SMU drop a game before us they won't be ranked.

We could possibly play 1 ranked team all year.

It's not "rough" it's adequate. 5-10 years ago it would have been a tough schedule.

It shouldn't be lighter than the 2025 schedule ever again. Bare minimum quality. Acceptable.

Teams that finished with a 90+ grade in both O/D:
Ohio St, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Alabama, PSU, UGA, Oregon, Indiana
(Puts into perspective how badly Ole Miss blew this season btw!)

Hopefully our Offensive rating doesn't fall below a 90 for next season on this metric, and our defensive rating can majorly increase. We finished 11th in their power ratings for 2024.... I think its definitely possible to finish higher this season.
