2024 Race to 300

At this point are we going to have the basic 50% blue chip ratio needed to compete. I know that seems like “wtf” but we are sitting on about a dozen 3* commits
I'm thinking more 70-80 %.If we take another 10-14 commits can't see more than 2-4 3* in it.

careful everyone, I got banned from the bat signal thread a few weeks ago for saying us tweeting whale emoji's about landing a 3 star was amateur hour compared to other programs. Seems like 5x worse going on in all these threads now

we'll land enough talent to have a top-15 class, but I don't see a situation where we're not collectively disappointed especially after enduring a 5-7 season. hopefully we turn it around quickly

I might do these for each position group, but…

Updated DB Commits
Ryan Mack - ⭐⭐⭐️ .8858, 50th safety
**Cameron Pruitt - ⭐⭐⭐️ .8859, 49 Safety
Isaiah Thomas - ⭐⭐⭐️, .8825, 57th safety
Dylan Day - ⭐⭐⭐️, .8769, 66th safety
Romanas Frederique - ⭐⭐⭐️, .86268, 82nd CB

Projected
Zaquan Patterson - ⭐⭐⭐⭐️, 96.1231, 4th safety

2024 DB avg current rank: .872
2024 DB avg projected rank: .894
2023 DB avg prospect rank: .933
2022 DB avg prospect rank: .917
2021 DB avg prospect rank: .917
2020 DB avg prospect rank: .900
2019 DB avg prospect rank: .916
2018 DB avg prospect rank: .907
2017 DB avg prospect rank: .896
2016 DB avg prospect rank: .859

Even with Zaquan, this will be our worst DB class since 2016, which was after Golden was fired. Idk if it’s Addae, 5-7, Guidry being a lower level guy…idk. But we have a returning all American and just put two DBs in the league and we are putting this together…it’s tough. Anyone saying otherwise is in spin mode. We have one guy in the top 50 for his position and he’s likely a linebacker…

I can see 4 of those becoming 4 stars this season

It's kind of early for this. If we have a decent season I'm sure other DBs will come up. We didn't know we were really in the cormani race until half way through the season and I forgot the name of the TX safety that emerged closer to signing day. And this happened when we were losing every weekend.

And we ended up with how many of those guys? It’s getting harder and harder to flip players. It happens for sure (we lost Cormani) but we are leaving little margin for error

This time last year Stafford committed today. I would of bet big money Brown wasn't going to be in Miami and I didn't know who Jadais Richard or the freeney kid were. It's way to early thinking the DB board isn't going to change. Granted the last 2 are transfers but they still will be here a few years.

So we ain't getting to 300? Ok. Why all the soft shoulders believing we're limping across the finish line? Why are so many of you flying the white flag so early on this class? It wasn't over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor. Buck the **** up, stick your chest out and grow a pair.

At least wait until it's crying time before you start weeping.

It’s eerily similar to the gator with Pitts. They put him in the league as an elite college TE and proceeded to **** the bed each class since then trying to reload that position.

I think the CB board is expanding and not for good reasons but whatever. This class seems so highly predicated on landing multiple elite targets on the DL, performing on the field and getting some WR flips.

nah i think we'll be fine with Mario and even in recruiting, he usually finds a way.

Just a ton of 3* evals partnered with 5-7 record is making everyone nervous, and for good reason
It’s making no one who matters nervous

GAME Tape don’t Lie. A lot of our 3 stars will be 4 by ESD, I don’t give a **** but I know most do. This place sounds like a gator board with this sorry *** rhetoric

these miami tears are weak

Yea completely agree 7 or less wins and that will probably be to much to recover from. But every year a few teams do bad and have kids that can be flipped, it just will depend on Mario having us at atleast 8+ wins. Like UF, if they win 4 games and we win 8, I'd be surprised if we didn't flip atleast 1 person from that class. But again if Mario doesn't show anything on the field this year that will probably tell the rest of the story with this class.
