Well Tanner Smith a transfer from Oregon State will be the starting catcher, he is a defense first catcher.

I seem to recall a stolen base on Tavares, but there wasn't anything egregious. Smith never ended up hitting and Johnson didn't play (he warmed up the pitchers after Tavares ABs but wasn't throwing the ball back to them).

I'm very excited about Ciscar's potential on the mound from the reports. I met his dad over the summer, who is a great guy and a die hard Canes fan. His older brother is a catcher at Ave Maria and hoping to go to UM law.

I was at today’s scrimmage.

Ethan Puig is making some noise at Catcher. He’s definitely in the running for starting.

Pitching is ok in my opinion. No one is really flashing
