I'm honestly shocked by that, but I wonder how much the opponent has to do with it.

I think its a good thing to be honest. Cross is expected to be our top 3 point shooter and will be a good fit next to Brooks. Also with Lykes, Wong, and McGusty all in the lineup, Cross is somebody who won't need the ball in his hands to be effective. This should also be good for Earl to ease in coming off the injury and can help run the 2nd unit where he will get more touches.

Freshman SG Earl Timberlake ruled out 3-5 weeks

Freshman guard Earl Timberlake has been ruled out three to five weeks with a right ankle injury, the school announced shortly their season opener Sunday (6:00 p.m., ACCN).
