2017 OT Adrian Ealy

From his quote on rivals he basically said Miami and OU are 1a 1b. He's coming for the FSU game.

Adding Adrian Ealy, Caleb Chandler, and Flipping kadeem Telfort back from the Gators would be a amazing job by Coach Searles who is not known as a strong recruiter. With the prospect of flipping Alex Leatherwood in the end would make 2017 an epic haul at online.

B/R Recruiting Notebook: Top Prospects Setting Plans as Season Starts

4-star OT Ealy discusses 3 front-runners, timeline
Look for a verbal commitment to come relatively soon for Gonzales, Louisiana, offensive tackle Adrian Ealy. The 4-star lineman told Bleacher Report he's hoping to make a decision in October, as he is planning on being an early enrollee.

Ealy has 15 reported offers and announced a top 12 back in April, but he's now focusing his attention on three schools—Oklahoma, LSU and Miami. LSU is a heavy favorite in Ealy's 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions.

"LSU was the first to offer me at a young age, so I'm going to keep them high," Ealy said. "I've really started talking to Oklahoma a lot around the spring. The Sooners have been showing me love ever since. I love Miami's location and coach Mark Richt. I've been talking to him, and he's a really nice guy."

One lucky school will get a tower in Ealy, a 6'7", 308-pounder with the ability to defend a lot of space with the help of a 7-foot wingspan. While Oklahoma, LSU and Miami are in front, Ealy added that the other schools in his top 12 are still very much alive in his recruiting race.

Official visits, he said, are forthcoming.

"Whichever school that will offer me the best chance at being an impact player as a freshman, that's what I'm looking at," Ealy said. "I want that, and I want a place where I can feel at home." ......

I will just say this after the FAU vs Miami game the more 2017 class olinemen that enroll early the better. I believe 2017 OT Adrian Ealy is planning on being a Early Enrollee. Miami needs quality online depth badly both to sub during the game and provide competition for those that are underperforming on the Oline.

Our online for a good part of the game was getting manhandled by FAU, which shouldn't happen. If these guys know that they will benched for someone just as good, they will not take plays off.

we need to take about 8 OL and start transferring kids out

I don't know about taking that many, it would leave a roster management gap down the road. I am thinking taking 5 or 6 in the 2017 class and I agree some current OL's should transfer to other schools.

I am curious which OL's do you think should be encouraged to transfer or graduate from UM an move on this spring.

Seems like an LSU lock, but maybe he'll look at our depth chart and make a business decision.

According to an SECountry article 4days ago, it looks LSU has moved on in its 2017 OL Class.

.....The addition of Stewart, a West Virginia 3-star offensive lineman, to the class following the July elite prospect camp all but sealed up LSU’s linemen haul for 2017.

Deculus, Ingram and Charles are as solid with the Tigers as any of the commits in this class, and both Deculus and Charles have emerged as the team’s top recruiters in Texas and Mississippi, respectively.

Alabama could make a push for Ingram since the Tide was so high on the offensive guard before he committed to LSU on the weekend of the spring game, but they already hold pledges from two other guards.

LSU was always thought to be the favorite for in-state standout tackle Adrian Ealy, but the 4-star prospect is nearing a decision and is down to Oklahoma and Miami. I believe LSU has turned to its other options at this point...

Which is great news for Miami and UM's 2017 class, he would be a big pick up.

8 would be a bit much, but I agree with what you're saying. We need numbers AND quality in the '17 OL class. I'd say at least 5. The guys we bring in are going to have the chance to play right away.

That's great news. Helps us get a true Tackle and continued success in Louisiana.

One way we can "manipulate" some numbers, keep roster management somewhat managed, and actually address the lack of OL quality . . . if there are the OT types that could slide inside if they gained weight and those bigger tight ends that could also gain some weight and play tackle. I know those guys aren't just growing on trees. I also don't think taking an extra guard that can only play guard is the right move. If it were, I would simply want the best guard we could get. I think we need a lot of help at tackle. I also don't want to be stuck with tackles that are reaches and can't sustain enough weight to be effective.

How many OTs do we need? Realistically we need 2-3 right? We need 2 guards right? Can we really take 4-5 OL in this class? I guess it depends on the EE situation.

Looks like Adrian Ealy will be coming for an official this weekend for the Duke game. Would like to have this beast in the class. He is also a EE so adding him will give us 4 offensive lineman enrolling early, that would be a big step toward improving that unit.

That is the good news I have been waiting for. Thanks.

This isn't true. I just asked a source who said the staff doesn't even talk to Ealy anymore
