Lol :ibisroflmao: turribull. Where do these defenses rank in the history of the U? I know the 2012 defense is THE WORST IN SCHOOL HISTORY. What about 2013, 2nd worst, 3rd worst in school history?
 
I used to get so pumped up for these offseason/preseason hype videos. That made me cringe. **** you Gorldlens and Dorito for not only ****ting on my fall but my offseason too. Can't wait for these fat greaseballs to get the **** out.

at this point if the D gives up 500 yds consistently you can't point anywhere but the coaches

Perryman and Figs both just stop people in their tracks. Perryman doesn't even have angles sometimes and stops guys cold.

I'm not defending anyone here, I've had a lot of issues with the defense.

That said, unless those videos were from 10+ years ago not sure how you could have gotten pumped for those. We have more talent on this roster come fall then we have had in a long time.

Two thoughts:
1. If anyone can watch that video and tell me we don't have the talent coming back to be at least a top 40 defense, give me what you're smoking

2. Our defense may suck ****, but two hits last year (Perryman vs Wake and McCord vs Georgia Tech) might be some of the most vicious displays of tackling I have ever seen in my life. The hit that Perryman had in that Wake game was illegal in 8 states
 
honestly, a #30 ranked defense is not even that good. I posted stats on here recently comparing the mythical F.A.G. UVA 2004 defense that was ranked top 20 and compared them to our 2004 defense, which was one of the worst in Coker/SHannon eras, and it was STILL #28

the UVA 2004 defense still gave up yards per play at 5.0 !!! that is ******* awful. this defense is complete trash

I was thinking the same thing. Excellent NIN song/video. Hope to see this live when I go see them in August w/Soundgarden.

That wasn't a bad video. Just a hype video, had some great plays/hits in it. I had almost forgotten how hard Tyriq McCord had hit that GT backup QB. If he hadn't have gotten him, Muhammad would have had a knockout shot there too.

Lots of INT's in there too. Dammit...we can have a good defense if we can just improve our push up the middle and get off the **** field on 3rd downs.

Going from the 80's to the 30's is still a great deal of improvement. There really are no more excuses, we have talent, and we have talent that's played a lot of football. At this point the debacle at DT is on the coaches for missing on some recruits. I expect to see much better defense next year or Dorito needs to find employment elsewhere, as should've been the case after this season.

That 04 VA team wasnt **** to me anyways.....****, i think we hung like 31 or 38 on them that year and that wasnt even one of our top offenses that year. Only person i think was on that va team was ahmad brooks, i could be wrong. IF that is the standard for what golden is trying to get his defense to then......bar set real low

that one and the 2010 temple defense are the 2 that these F.A.G. retards keep pointing to like they mean something in terms of where this F.A.G./Dorito defense can get us.

it is a terrible argument, but supposing their premise we are looking at a top 20 defense once every 6 or 7 years that gives up 5 yards per play as a cap for this staff
