Cant lie.... I'm pretty excited to see what Perryman, Figs, Carter, AQM, Mccord and other players can do next year. I know the scheme has been ****ed, but we have a good mix of talented young studs and some veterans that CAN make a huge jump IF they're put in positions to succeed.

Im predicting Figs to be a monster too!

barring injuries our defense will be better. studs another year old and adding some new ones as well.
 
We have some glaring holes in our defense at DT from a talent standpoint but overall we have a bunch of talent. Howard, Bush, burns, Carter, Kirby, Denzel, chick, AQM and McCord were all wanted by elite programs.

Besides DT, our talent on defense should be no worse than top 30. Players all over the defense that could have chosen their school. ****, even Wyche and Big Heurt had legit BCS offers. **** excuses. Fix this mess.

if we can get the DTs to just hold the line of scrimmage, and I'm hopeful they will, especially seeing 93 in those one-on-ones again feliciano. and an older chick, kamula, AQM and mccord is going to cause problems from a pass rush stand point. We will be better too many play makers out there. Even Elder looked good at times last year, he is like out 4-5 best cb.
 
I said it last year, and I'll say it again this year, if our defense improves by at least 20-30 spots in the overall defense rankings, we will win 2-3 more games.

2012: 7-5 (116th ranked Defense)

2013: 9-4 (78th ranked Defense)



Technically, we are "trending upward" (LOL).

30 spots is still giving up 400 ypg. We allowed 426 ypg this year.

If our scoring D improves 30 spots also from 27 ppg to 23 ppg, We might be good for 10+ wins
