An available option at DT 2013 is 6'4" 285lbs Tevin Lawson from Denham Springs, LA who was a long time LSU commit but they want him to Grey Shirt which is quickly not becoming an option for him. Initially he had some grades issues last year, which according to his coach have been full cleared up. But now he is looking for a school after signing day that has room and he likes. He supposed to take an OV to Kentucky this weekend, with possible additional OV's to TCU and Okie State.
His mother is playing a big part in his recruitment because she would like to be able to attend some of his games, so schools closer to home, such as Southern Miss, Lafayette or Louisiana Tech are also coming into play. With UM's resurgence into Louisiana I would love to take one from LSU, even if it is a grey shirt recruit.
Lawson has a very good first step and is a high motor kid with violent hands, that can either play inside as a 3-tech or slide out to the DE in a 3-4. Which is just what AG is looking for if he can't find a war daddy NT. Lawson could easily add 30lbs with Utough over the next 2yrs and get some good playing time as a Red-shirt Freshman.
UM should bring him down for an OV, and considering his other current options the 4* would jump at the opportunity.
