20 Players expected at Miami pro day tomorrow

I can understand being disappointed in our players lack of developing and/or making mistakes and poor choices along the way, but at the end of the day they are still OUR guys and should have our support. ****, guys like Sam Shields (just one example) did not live up to expectations here, yet we are sure quick to remind folks he is a Cane now. Most of the guys that are typically torn apart on here, like Jacory for example, played hard for us and in many cases **** near got killed for the Orange and Green so lets show them some appreciation and try to manage our expectations to a realistic level. (Steps down from soapbox)

If somebody gets Ray Ray's head on straight and teach him for a season. Some NFL team is going to get a friggin steal. Wish we could have developed him more than what we did....

Why in the world would anyone believe this?

When did he ever display instincts or skills which would make him viable in the NFL, let alone a 'steal?'

i've never understood the infatuation w/ Ray Ray. he had a couple of big hits, but was woefully deficient in coverage, which does not bode well for a safety at any level, but particularly the NFL. i'll be shocked if he makes a roster, beyond a brief practice squad tenure.

Graig Cooper would have probably made an NFL roster if he hadn't got hurt..

definitely felt terrible for the kid to blow out a knee during his final game. not sure how long he would have lasted in the pros, but he likely would have made a roster.

Anybody that bashes J12 can suck the long ****...

#truestory

I don't bash him in fact. I know the pics came at bad times BUT when you look at the stat sheet he didn't fare too badly
Freshman year 60% completion(GOOD) 12TD's and 7INT
Sophomore Year who didn't love him? 3300 yard 24TD's 17INT's(BAD)
Junior year Spotty
Senior Year was outsanding! 2500 yards 65% completion(GREAT) 20TD less than 10INTS(GREAT)

I'd love to see Morris get his completion percentage up to the 60's if he can then we really are back

Exactly my point. There were far greater reasons for our lack of success than Jacory

He was a LB trying to play safety. In the NFL, he will find his right position. I think he could be a serviceable reserve LB in the NFL.

but not nearly big enough to play LB. it's inconceivable that he could take on blocks at his size.

he was what 215-220lbs at Miami during his JR year? its conceivable that he could add 15-20lbs and play OLB in a 4-3. it would cover a lot of his coverage problems and let him do what he does best which is play near the line and play the run

I'm not a "Harris Hater" but I am sure as **** glad he's no longer the QB at The University of Miami. Way to up and down of a QB for my liking. Also didn't have the arm strength for the system Miami runs.

Wieclaw, Botts, James, Mcgee are the guranteed future procanes from that list.

Ben Jones, Jeremy Lewis, and Buchanan have a chance.

The rest should look at other pro football leagues IMO.

It's very tough to make the league as a K or P, not sure either Weiclaw or Botts will make it. We've had a lot of good ones here that never played in the league, Huerta, Sievers, Capshaw, etc

Was never a Ray Ray at Safety fan. Terrible feet and shockingly limited range. There was a play against VTech a couple years ago that summed up his career at Safety: the slot WR went directly at his facemask and broke on a post. He stayed standing still. TD.

Was always really surprised Sievers didn't get an extended look.

I still don't think he'd be good at LB either but you never know with a position switch. I always thought that way about certain guys. Especially Taylor Mays. May's should've been a LB he'd of been a Demon. But you knew what you were getting with Mays with Armstrong it's like he was sooooo spotty it's not even funny...

True as that was the biggest concern with him coming out of HS. But I thought he gradually improved as the seasons went on as he was supposed to. That sophomore season was probably the best and worst that he had. We were ranked that season I remember evryone going crazy about him. I know it's not relevant but he had everybody wanting to play with Miami on NCAA that year lol. I remember everytime I picked up the sticks dudes was quick to pick Miami. These days you won't see nobody close to playing with the U on NCAA except me lol

You gotta ride or die with your team on NCAA Motor, good job. I see these punk kids picking USC or Oregon becuase they are explosive, blah, blah. They don't even like those teams.

Didn't have the arm strength for Whipple. He actually threw a pretty deep ball but having him do it 10 times a game was asking for trouble, because the receiver had to be running free for it to have good odds of working. As we saw when Fisch took over...he was much more effective when he was exposed to less risk.
