They were prob gonna lose with 6 seconds left regardless of what Howard did there. The bigger issue was the time management after the ball was reset after Smiths PI. That is where they lost all the time. That's on Howard and Day.

Idiotic decision making and totally corching it up. Take a quick out route for 7 or 8 yards. Should only take 4 seconds if that. Then you can at least attempt a fg. If you can't complete that just throw it at the receivers feet and try hail mary next play. Again should leave you with a second left to try.

A top WR recruit should be more concerned about who is throwing him the ball instead of how many draft picks a school has produced in the past. I believe the announcers said this was just Howard’s 2nd 300 yard passing game. He had a grand total of ONE 300 yard passing games last season. You have a lot better chance of getting drafted high with an elite qb.
