We didn't have the personal to play nickel last season when team came out in 4 wide sets? We didn't have the personal to sub based upon offensive packages? Shayon Green was our best slot corner? And yet without the personal to make subs, we still were no set at the snap?

The argument that this is Al's defense are forgetting a major thing. He doesn't call the plays. D'Onfrio does.

but he is not. he bought himself years with sticking through the NCAA mess and turning down his alma mater.......the fact that he isn't making any staff changes tells you that Al is as safe as can be as he feels absolutely zero pressure from up top. 9-3, stay out of trouble and graduate at a high rate is all he needs to do moving forward

Man **** out of here with that ****. I hate you ****** golden lovers. You are ******* happy with that ***** winning 8-9 games a year? You mutha****as care more about golden than the ****** team. Golden didn't turn down **** they didn't give him the contract so he had to do something by today but if they had offered his *** would have left.
 
I'm beyond furious and frustated right now. The fact that Golden is not looking to make any changes is mind boggling. It is pure stubborness on his part. I can see it now, next year, the excuse will be "we are a young team."

Maybe after he gets us to an astounding 7 win (or less) season in 2014 we'll fire him and his **** coordinators.

10 wins was the FLOOR of this past year, no excuses. I'm done with him and so should everyone else with eyes be. Not being able to get your senior laden team up for their first bowl game in 3 years is all the information I need to know he's not the man for the job. If the kids aren't excited to play and reach 10 wins for the first time in the last forever then he's not the man for the job.

UCF is a better team with better preparation than UM. Let that sink in. Vomit. Read that again. Now you're on the same page as me.

Nah, man. Just give it another year. THIS is the year that they will want to reach 10 wins. We aren't changing things, but they will get better.

No season tickets for me next year. It was agony sitting in that stadium watching this crap defence all season. I might get a single game ticket but that is as much as i can stand. At home i can just turn it off.

Well what the **** are we gonna do about guys? Nothing. We might as well just sit back and TRY to enjoy the ride. No matter how painful it may be...
 
I was watching the Houston-Vandy bowl game and they were saying that when Houston's DC took over, he threw out half his playbook. The reduction allowed his guys to master concepts, eliminate the thinking and just flow to the ball.

Now, while I am not saying I want to be Houston, I love the idea. If we make the same sort of change and allow our kids to essentially run and strike, then we have a chance.

If not, every coach with 2 brains cells to rub together will pick us apart and we will be relying upon Ryan Williams to win us games.

Pelini, Tubs, Jimbo, Cutcliffe, Beamer, whoever Louisville hires...

You hit them where it hurts by not renewing your season tickets and Hurricane club membership. I am strongly considering it. I can think of better ways of spending thoudands of dollars than by watching opposing QB's look like Heisman candidates against our ridiculous Defense.

I can see defending him if he showed the willingness to adjust and adapt but there has been nothing over the last 3 seasons to evidence that willingness. I would even be OK with giving him a few more years if that was the case (based upon the cloud).

You're only looking at the people pointing out the problems, not the problems themselves. Our defense was the worst in the ACC each of the last two seasons. Did we have the worst defensive talent in the ACC or did our defense under-perform its talent level? Common sense analysis will show its the latter.

As for winning 10 games this fall - We trade home games with Savannah State and USF for road games w/Louisville and Nebraska in 2014. If this team is going to win 10 games they are really going to have to improve.
