I was watching the Houston-Vandy bowl game and they were saying that when Houston's DC took over, he threw out half his playbook. The reduction allowed his guys to master concepts, eliminate the thinking and just flow to the ball.
Now, while I am not saying I want to be Houston, I love the idea. If we make the same sort of change and allow our kids to essentially run and strike, then we have a chance.
