1-on-1 Highlights from Day 9 of Spring Practice (March 28)

We should line up with 4 receivers at least 70% of the time on offense. Coley/Dorsett/Herb/Jones/Lewis/Scott holy ****.

If D'Mauri Jones has a breakout season can we drop the JAG bull**** until a players junior year?

RW throws such a catch-able ball. Range is limited but most of the time the wr is getting it either just coming out of a break or on stride. There's gonna be a lot of yacs with him and this offense.

/hopefully maybe

If williams starts i think he will throw quite a few ints and from what i have read he seems to be throwing a couple picks everyday. He throws too many lob passes and when he throws down the field the ball hangs in the air giving the defense a chance to make a play for the ball.

People tend to underestimate our receivers a lot as if we don't have depth. WR has probably been one of our best positions for some time.

Carter and Burns are future AA's. Carter is taking someone's job this year.

Jake Odonell looks like a receiving threat.

I like what everything I've seen from Williams in the spring.

Dorsett looking like a true WR for the first time to me. Reminds of a young Lee Evans.

The Offensive line continues to scare the sh*t out of me.

See, I thing our issue has been that we have severely overrated our WRs to the point where there has been negative backlash. Our fans have been saying we have a top 5 national corp since about 09. Many said so last year, only to find out that outside of trusty Hurns a true freshman was head and shoulders better than everyone.

Liked what I saw from Sandland and Dobard. Would be nice to get Walford some help in the receiving game at the position.

Its been touched on many times but the TE position becomes more important with Williams or Olsen in there.

Figueroa is going to make a highlight reel this year.

Yup. Not going to bash Morris but it just wasn't his strength. Walford was far too quiet at times last year. I thought we should have made it a point to establish him early every single game. He was capable. TE group looks **** strong at the moment.

Who the heck is 88?

O'Donnell??

Yes that is Jake O'Donnell. He has had quite a spring along with DJones. We all need to take everything with a grain of salt talking about Bush and Tracy getting burned. Some drills they are supposed to let the offensive guy win or go half speed etc. Or this is just a small sample size of practice. If this happens in the scrimmage then I would be alarmed.

Yeah, especially when most LBs in the country are liabilities in coverage. We made the TE famous in CFB, and one of the main reasons is that most LBs struggle in coverage. More often than not your TE will create havoc against the other team when running a route.

Yeah the results aren't so much what I am looking at as much as just looking at how athletic they look. O'Donnell looks big and fluid. Surprising. Standish looks like he has come a long way as well.

Especially when you have a WR group like we do and weapons out of the backfield, if we use them properly. Whomever the QB is should have someone open on every play if they make their reads. Saw Gus in there a few times catching passes and we know Duke and Crawford (wherever he ends up) are capable. Lots of options.

-Stan Dobard is a player, knows how to get separation consistently
-O'Donnell looks like Ivan Mercer is back at UM, which is not a bad thing
-Deon Bush's body language is lazy to me, but this is just a video
-Stacy Coley may be the best receiver to ever grace this university, will his surrounding cast help elevate him there, IDK
-This is the most talented team at Miami in 7 years, with more tbreds coming in July
-DMauri Jones is legit, and a big part of it may be he has the best chemistry with Williams
-Dorsett is a top 3 round pick, what acceleration that kid has
-Jamal carter might as well play shirtless, aint nobody taking that black jersey from him
-Williams will make us pull our hair out this year, but Ryan, just be great on 3rd and redzone and you can make up for lots of misses that are coming
-Dont know why, but Jethro' scared of Hertolou, hope its a good thing, and I think Hert is starting to find his groove
-havent looked at LB physically llike we do now for a minute , especially Denzel and Kirby
-we gon be good
