That’s on par for how good this team is any given year since Coach L’s been here. It just feels like in the last 3 seasons anytime we went on the road and a team went zone for the majority of the game we look really bad.

Perplexingly poor effort against a really bad team.

18 TOs and GT with 23 attempts at the line to our 11 really sums this mess up.

I like the balance on the team this year, but there seems to be no killer instinct. From anyone.

Maybe that’ll get corrected at home.

Bad performance by team. Walker and Brown do not look like McDonald’s all Americans nor do they look like nba prospects. Huell has been the only consistent player that looks like a good Acc player. It appears that media and we fans were overly enthusiastic about our so called star players. We were ranked
too high in acc and national picture. If Coach L can’t light a fire into this squad and they continue to play poorly we will be a middle of the pack acc team and a fringe NCAA playoff team.

All you have to do is look up the actual stat (in regards to road wins/performance) to see how we actually do on the road.

Well our defense has been steady all year including last night. But we can be wildly ineffective on offense. Its really gonna be a no go when somebody on the other team gets 30.

IIRC, Coach L contributed a bit to the disappointment now. Didn't he basically say Lonnie was gonna tear it up! He didn't say that about Sheldon, Larkin, et al. so that resulted in maybe unrealistic expectations. If Lonnie and Bruce don't provide more production than they have thus far, I don't like their chances of going Top 15 JUST based on potential.

Brown is old. Hopefully he'll get better as the season goes on and improves his draft position. But he'll need to go after this season. IV is a different story.

Blown away by the overreaction. This was a bad loss. A loss like this shows we probably aren't a top 3 seed in the tourney but that's about it. This team has been on the road for a month. They lacked energy which happens when you've been on the road so long. We could have still won without much energy but we weren't focused and that is more concerning. Newton went back to being the Newton of last year which is an issue. And we need to pass more in the zone and stop dribbling.

With all that being said, this team is ultra talented. It's obvious when you watch them. We're definitely a tourney team. This loss should wake them up and keep them focused from here on out. We need to learn to play more consistent and more passing and less dribbling will help that. The board will feel differently once we beat FSU on Sunday.
