Haven't gone thru the whole thread so apologize if it's already mentioned. How about #98 Muhammad on the slot receiver at 9:34

Textbook backpedal
We're complaining because a guy completed a ten yard out? would you prefer a bump and run 60 yard touchdown instead? because that's "miami defense".. gtfoh...
:ibisroflmao:
Hilarious how you run to Golden's defense at every turn, yet you wouldn't give the same defense to Shannon. I wonder why that is?
One turned dumpster fire temple into something respectable, the other one had no similar track record. Oh one of them was also the number 2 while our program was going down the tubes.
And one of them has coached the worst defenses in school history, is 1-12 versus teams with 8 or more wins, and has had more blowout losses than any UM coach I remember, yet I see no criticism coming his way from you. You're full of it.
Just because you find success at one program doesn't mean you can replicate it. CFB is filled with coaches that were successful at smaller schools only to fail when they got to a big time program. Stop pointing to temple as an example. Temple is not Miami. It doesn't have the players Miami does nor the culture, not the challenges or the expectations. They are nothing alike and findin success at temple does not mean what golden is doing is going to work. It hasn't worked for 3 years with senior laden teams or with a young team. We're complaining because a guy completed a ten yard out? would you prefer a bump and run 60 yard touchdown instead? because that's "miami defense".. gtfoh...

If golden thought he could just replicate what he did at temple then he made a huge error in judgement. He has yet to adapt to football the way it's played in Miami. He still thinks he's in the north east and is trying to force a defensive philosophy that simply doesn't work in Miami and barely works in CFB in general.
So yes he turned temple around and that was fine. That doesn't mean he is guaranteed success once on the bigger stage and so far the evidence clearly indicates he's been a fallen far short of expectations.

What matters is wins and losses.. losing by 5 counts the same as losing by 35. Our team has gotten better each year, our recruiting is good and our defensive talent is getting to where it needs to be. If al had walked into a better situation I'd be more critical this early in his tenure, he walked into a dumpster fire that randy had burning, then got smacked by the shapiro stuff. When an al golden team underperforms their talent level, I'll be worried, until then I'll be on board with Golden.

you're a moron for paying good money for a terrible product that the school has had plenty of evidence of ****iness yet done nothing. one of the only ways we can make our displeasure known as a fan is to STOP spending money on the team (e.g. going to games)
Then find another team, because that's not what a fan does.
Can you please list the things that fans do, TIA.
A) They don't act like morons and attack their own team.
B) They don't stop supporting their team.
Hey! Genius!
No one is attacking the team!
We're puked out with the coaching! Get it? Coaching!
We're better fans of the team than you - who appears to be completely satisfied with these retards and their retarded coaching.
You a team fan? Then pull your head out of your butt, and you won't be able to chew your food twice!
Coaching! Suks!
Hey, fvckface--I explained my screen name, and it has Cane in it. Dude was trying to call me a "Duke fan" based on having something Duke related in my screen name. I understand the breakdown of weown's screen name, but my point was to use the same idiotic logic he was attempting to apply to mine to his--taste of his own medicine. He has nothing Canes related in it. We don't know if his "we" refers to the Canes--you can assume that, but I don't (since we're using this cat's twisted logic). He doesn't have anything related to the Canes in his screen name. The only school referenced is FSU. So, he's an FSU fan. This BWCD troglodyte can't even comprehend that weownfsu translates to We Own FSU. I'm at a loss after reading that exchange.
You don't think attendance has any effect on recruiting, which directly affects the product?
you dont think the PATHETIC defense and results on the field have an effect on recruiting?
I hear recruit after recruit, including some of the top ones, citing specifically the fact that they see Miami on the rise. Funny how some "fans" can't see it.
Yeah man, we're really on the rise, so much so that Dalvin Cook, Sony Michel, Travis Rudolph, Matthew Thomas, etc. couldn't wait to ink the papers to play for Al and Co.
When we lost Alex Collins, it was the first time Golden had lost a big-time battle. Since then, the amount of elite prospects we're after, particularly those in the soFla area, has risen drastically.
That's because we haven't improved and aren't on the rise. You can't get them all, but if we had shown improvement the way so many apologists seem to suggest, the amount of defections wouldn't be what it has been.
I get what you're saying but you only named one defensive player. The rest were all offensive players. Duke and Coley are the star players of our offense and both had arguably the best stats for a freshmen at the U for their respective position.
We definitely weren't fielding some terrible offense. They had a chance to be on one of the most dynamic offenses in all of college football. Maybe not consistent, but definitely explosive. I don't think our defense's performance impacted their decision (aside from Matt Thomas).

That last statement is the truth. I mean, even against the sucky teams we played last year I didn't walk away thinking that's what our Defense is supposed to look like. It didn't matter who we played, our defense still wasn't that good. At least against UF they forced alot of turnovers.:ibisroflmao:

You lost me there.
Are you saying a loss is a loss? So it doesn't matter to you if a team like FSU beats us by 1 or 50 it still goes down as a loss right?
Did you play any ball in your life?
You do realize that getting blown out to a team that you could potentially see in the ACC championship game (as an example) is demoralizing to a team?
Do you realize losing a tough close game not only inspires the team but attracts big time recruits?
Big time recruits see us losing by 35 (as you put it) will look at us and say "they weak."
We lose close, tough games suddenly those same recruits are saying "I could help put Miami over the top."
So no sorry bro. A loss is not a loss. Our scheme sucks and Golden has been saying "We have to fix it" for 3 years going on 4.
The worst part is he knows it's a problem but he can't fix it because he doesn't know how? Great coach eh?
Golden can have a 3 deep of AA's and people will still come up with excuses for him.
Think about all of the teams that we have faced with less talent than we have. A lot of them have managed to keep the games close.
Some teams have beat us (Duke, Virginia, Maryland) [Maryland won only 1 game vs a FBS opponent that year by the way.]
Why is it that we cannot even come close (forget winning) to beating those teams with equal or better talent?
Why is it that we get blown out every single f'n time? Have you ever seen this?
Has anyone seen ONE GAME in the Golden tenure where we dominated a game on defense and left you thinking "oh so that's what we will look like once we get the right guys in our system?"
ONE? NO? I didn't think so.

THAT was HIS logic. And yes, it was dumb as ****. Glad I was able to illustrate that. Since it was his logic I was using...call him the troglodyte since you think it's that **** stupid. Because I agree--he is that **** stupid.
And please, everyone, don't forget...He's the one who brought it up. Not I. I simply finished it and defended myself.

Really?
Ask Jerry Faust and the Notre Dame team we slaughtered 58-7 if that was the same as losing by five.
It made all the newspapers and we were criticized for weeks after dishing out that old-fashioned-country-***-whipping.
We get it. Reality matters not - but when you make a statement like that, it just ruins everything else you may with to convey.
