Miami just doesn't like him as a prospect but they haven't given a reason

Thanks. There's so much speed there, we can't figure it out.

What do you mean you guys can't figure it out? That's all he is...speed

All he does is runs screens, verts, and slants all day...and his slant routes are horrendous and poorly ran.

If he came here, he would just return kicks

You mean like Hester?

You can coach people to run routes, but you can't teach recruits the speed he has.

Devin wasn't used as a WR in the NFL until his 3rd/4th year in the league until he figured out how to run routes

He was returning kicks only for a good amount of time

So you're saying Quantino can be HOFer?

BS.

There's former HS QUARTERBACKS playing WR all over college football.

Guess where they learned to run routes..

Go find me another former QB that didn't have to sit out a year and directly played WR or had significant amount of playing that already wasn't practicing as a WR off campus in the off season

Go ahead, I'll wait

That was never the argument. Nobody said a single word about him not needing time to learn to run routes.

You said you cannot teach a player to run routes at this point. Then you went ahead and gave an example which disproves your original statement. You ABSOLUTELY CAN teach someone how to run routes in college even if they've been playing QB their entire life.

Guess he's never heard of Braxton Miller

Same guy who worked with a coach in the offseason before he got officially moved to WR at OSU....you guys are hilarious

So Miami doesn't have receiver coaching? Point is no one knows how he'll develop but like Jimmy Johnson, you take elite speed and find the best position; especially from a program like he plays for.

Obviously he worked with a coach, thats what players do to get better. But guess what, any player can work with a coach!

Honestly, what did have that to do with anything?

Terrelle Pryor and Antwan Randle El played qb in college. So whoever is saying its not possible to teach the position in college let alone the NFL is an idiot.

that's what coaching is for..

You don't teach a kid to run routes at this point...you refine technique and then add on with giving them option routes to run.

A Kidd who only runs 2 routes and was taught the simplest of screen plays doesn't belong in high level P5 football no matter how fast

Go watch Mike Harley's tape and then watch his, You'll see a huge difference between him and Quantino

You mean like Torrance who was RS and moved to receiver and spent a whole year learning receiver lol

One shirt doesn't everyone and I don't think you can make a general assumption about all athletes based on Torrance Gibson. There are plenty of former QBs playing WR in the NFL. Terrell Pryor is one that comes to mind of late.

Yes exactly lol

EVERY year there's a HS QB that projects as a WR at the next level, **** there's even NCAA QBs who project as WR in the NFL.

But every scout must be wasting their time, because it's too late to teach them how to run routes.

We're talking about a WR being recruited as a WR.....not a QB being recruited as a WR in which they have to teach them to play WR

Apparently you don't understand the difference of recruiting a WR, who played WR his entire time in High school, and a QB being recruited as a WR

Is that too much critical though for you sunshine?

And neither played receiver for 2-3 years, you idiots are proving my point

Did you all approve of the Golden projects he loved to recruit so much?

I bet y'all did

I think they got lazy recruiting WR's. Look at the commits and targets.

I'm excited to see Anthony McFarland jr.

I'm not sure they're very good at evaluating them to begin with. Their strategy seems to be "we gonna go after exotic dimes only, and if we strike out, we're okay sitting at home jerking off."

Richt never had stud WRs at UGA. Dugans is a good coach, but his targeting has been all over the place.

AJ Green

1 stud in 15 years. The much maligned Butch had Santana,Wayne and Andre at the same time. That's landing elite wrs.

Les Miles had Jarvis Landry and Odell on the SAME TEAM.

Saban had Plaxico, Clayton, Bowe, Jones, Cooper, Ridley, now Jeudy coming in along w Shavers.

I love Coach, but idk wtf his philosophy is on WRs. It's perplexing to say the least.

He has 2 heisman winners and one runner up without stacking 5* WRs. I think it's more about execution with Richt and that comes from ball placement and getting separation. Execution is the most important aspect of his offense, not necessarily individual talent. We are 8 weeks away from NSD. Just wait for it...

Because you're saying you can plug and play someone like him...I'm saying you can't.

I'm also saying you don't recruit a WR who can't run a route correctly who's played WR for his high school

AJ Green????? Pretty **** studly

Our Staff be having some weird a55 dates setup for certain prospects on recruiting official visit weekends. Before the dead period and before the weekend jeudy visited we didn't have anyone visit officially. That's dumb ,swing for the fences every chance you get. And when we do have ov weekends it be like a big group of prospects visiting, ain't no way they can get the same amount of attention if the weekends were split up... we better have people visiting every weekend throughout January

It's as if you have 2 completely different dumb people posting under your handle daily.
Mods y'all not going to say anything to him? He attacks every post I make but if i we're to say something I'm wrong...

Love the constant let downs miss on mckitty now we are magically thinking we have a shot with Falo? Please

The other thing is you don't necessarily just have to have one supremely talented guy. You can have a bunch of good receivers and win a National Championship. Can't base everything off what Alabama's doing. Clemson just had a bunch of really good receivers last year. Their top receiver will suspend it.

But you will never win NC's without great lines.
