Stubbs was a gator lean for most of the cycle until he committed to USC out the blue, in the summer it was assumed he was gonna flip to the Gators. We do well on the OV, work our Miami RAW connections and he flips to us.. Only reason why this flip is a "shock" is because he randomly showed up on their campus yesterday. Sucks to lose him considering our need for DBs but call a spade a spade each kid on that Mandrin team has switched their commitment multiple times

no, I knew we had a very tough game on the road, and it was going to be tough to win. Conference road games when you have the target on your back is always tough to navigate. It's why you see Tennessee losing at Arkansas, Alabama losing at Vandy, UGA losing by almost 3 TDs at Ole Miss

I have NO idea how Vegas made Miami a 11 point favorite. I thought 4-7 points would be the spread.

You watched what I saw yesterday, 2 very similar teams with Miami having the better OL. If we played tomorrow it would be another 1 possession game. McCord is too good for it not to be.

McCord is an elite college QB, we have only seen one other like him this season that was Shough.

We got fans going around like we lost to Mid Tenn State again.
I’m usually with you. And Syracuse is solid. But a competent defense + coaching and it’s a blow out. We had them 21 love

Yes a competent defense, but their WRs and quick release passing game is a tough matchup for us. We got good pressure, but ball was out so fast. One clip going on twitter we get pressure fast, Bain blows up the T, but ball was out before we could get there.

We could play Cuse 10 times in that dome, and it would be a 7-3,6-4,maybe 5-5 split. That is a really good offense. They remind me of us honestly. Really good QB, Big hammer at RB, and a beavy of WRs that are mismatches.

I don’t disagree with any point made im only talking in the context of the game we played. THAT one we had them dead to rights.

Guidry is easy to game plan against

I’m glad Fran Brown said it

RT right here. My question is, why didn’t we pound the rock? Were we just too good at moving the football down the field?? Up 21 still throwing that much leads to variability in outcomes, tipped balls they can pick, just a bad throw that gets picked, strip sack, holding penalties that kill drives. And cuse sucked *** against the run. Why didn’t we stop our two back shotgun set? We ran through them from that set like **** through a goose. I’m so down today lol.

I mean… this wasn’t on the offense or doing anything differently there. The issue was that our defense was and has been a dumpster fire. We failed miserably on one side of the ball and even Cam couldn’t over come it.

I don't think the problem was continuing to air it out considering Cam was absolutely dealing, had a great game overall, and has carried us all season. Ward completed 70% of his passes despite a crucial third down drop on a perfectly thrown ball in a contested situation by Brown and an awful, untimely drop from Horton late in the 4th quarter

The issue I had was the carry distribution between Fletcher and Martinez. We gave 13 carries to Fletcher, who averaged just 3.5 YPC. Those proved to be wasted downs in a game where Martinez was running roughshod and Ward was dialed in when protected.

With everything at stake, we needed to give Martinez 20+ carries and instead only gave him 10. We needed to abandon the committee approach and make Martinez the workhorse but failed to do so.

Tomorrows bank gonna hit like some reggie you bought off a homeless dude at a gas station when you were 13
More like some "grass" (turns out, literally) you bought from a sketchy dude in Seychelles for 10 times the reggie price. (Definitely not a first hand account).

TrumpyCane wonders if Mario interviewed him at the same time he was interviewing our current DC and he’s ****ed off he picked over him

Agreed, but I’m saying this. look at what gt did to us, slow the game down. Limit time defense is on the field. It’s just a little more mathematical and methodical,

And we didn’t go all in this year?

Kiffin has won 8,9,10 and 11 games in 5 seasons. Mario hasn’t come close to achieving any of that yet.

Let’s see how it shakes out next year. Both programs will have new QBs and changes all over the roster.
Kiffin isn’t the answer here man.

To be pedantic, we didn’t get stopped until it was 21-7. That drive after they scored went like this. 21 ran for -1, 84 caught a 6yard pass and 11 couldn’t make the catch on 3rd. Punt. Next drive at 21-14 was a 25 yard pass, 2 yard run for Cam (so pass called), Lyle for 2, incomple to restrepo. Punt.

I didn’t understand putting Lyle in at that point. Martinez only had 4 carries (6,7,2,21 yards) at that point. Fletcher had 7. We should have had them in pounding still.

The only thing I can think of was maybe stat padding to help cams last push… sanders, Hunter and jeantry put up some great numbers on Friday… they had to believe once 21-0 we were fixing to boat race them

We went up 21-0 by doing what we do. You don't deviate from that, you keep the pedal down, IMO.

And to be fair, we went up 21-0, they scored to make it 21-7, and then our next drive, we did run the ball on 1st down. But we put Lyle in the game, who was everyone's darling after Wake, and he lost a yard, something Martinez and Fletcher never do. We threw a short pass to McCormick, and then on 3rd and medium, we tried to fit a ball into the middle to Sam Brown and he was blanketed. Punt.

They score again, it's 21-14, and we hit Restrepo for 25 yards on the first play. We should have been able to go from there and AT LEAST make it 24-14, but Cam scrambles for 2, we still have Lyle in the game and he gets a carry for short yardage, and we miss X on another 3rd and medium. Another punt.

We only got the ball 5 times in the first half, and we scored 3 TDs.

So , Stubbs is flipping to the Gators to be with his team mate Trammel Jones and probably Jamie French who is committed to Texas. Sarkisian cant recruit either I guess.
