Considering what everyone has already stated, there is no reason to not add to our RB room. You bring in Parrish, take a swing at Citizen, bring in two in ‘23, and if someone doesn’t like it and wants to transfer then so be it. Scared money don’t make money. Time to nut up and let the dominos fall.

Lmao is this serious? Since when is Bama in need of a RB lol. I literally can’t believe that was your retort.
Did you see who was on the field in the title game? Robinson is gone and Trey Sanders aint the same after injuries. The other guys were in sweat pants. You can't believe the retort? Alabama's best WR this year was a Buckeye transfer. Since when have they needed help at WR? You saw what they were when Metchie and Williams were gone. A slot WR and a bunch unproven freshmen not ready for the moment. So yes even Alabama needs help. WR help in 2021. RB help in 2022.

I love Chaney and Rooster, but I want to see them average 5 yards per carry before we declare the RB room stacked.

Parrish was 5.3 last year on decent volume. Chaney is a career 4.6. Knighton was 3.9 last year. Too low for backs with their explosiveness.
while agree with you on the room not being stacked......despite running behind a bad line Knighton still had more all purpose yards than Parish...

They already got Gibbs from GT to transfer. He will be the assumed RB1 next year. They also brought in the #1 RB in the nation for 2022. They will be fine as always at RB

We were talking about Gibbs. They got him because of lack of ready to go talent

it's pretty clear that Gibbs left GT in order to step up in competition, and from what I can tell he didn't even entertain any other school aside from Bama. he certainly wasn't trying to transfer within the ACC Coastal. there were tons of ppl on this board who kept bringing up Eli Ricks' name, he was also always going to Bama. there's a certain kind of transfer who isn't looking for playing time or a fresh start, they're looking, basically, to go to Bama.

The guy who ran for 1,200 yards and 16 TDs last year.
Maybe Dye wants to stay on the west coast. You don’t think that Mario is all over this one way or another in regards to Dye and Parrish?

We aren’t talking about Manny here but I know you know that. Nothing is happening here without Mario giving his thumb print on things.

So Miami wouldn’t have a shot at Travis Dye with multiple of his former coaches here? Miami couldn’t go get Jared Broussard who’s from Dallas? Or FCS transfer Dante Miller, Minnisota transfer Ky Thomas, Buffalo transfer Dylan McDuffie or Stanford transfer Nathaniel Peat? I could go on and on.

Miami fans always have excuses to take average SFL players.
you would have to imagine that Dye is in the picture.

I posted this earlier in this thread, but you can clearly see a trend this portal cycle of kids going to places where they have connections to coaches and/or returning home, especially kids who are transferring from P5 schools. it's starting to resemble high school recruiting more than pure free agency. the smaller school kids still tend to be looking at playing time/situation.

if you look at Nathaniel Peat, he played at Stanford and is from Missouri. his offers since he jumped in the portal, based on his twitter feed, are Oklahoma State, Iowa, Oregon State, Western Kentucky, Washington State, Purdue, Missouri. all west coast and midwest schools. doesn't feel like a coincidence.

I've said this before about other positions but just because those 3 1000 yard rushers are available doesn't mean Miami has a shot. So is Miami gonna spend time chasing RBs who haven't reached out and tell a guy who got plenty of power 5 carries hold on just for him to go some place else? The portal is different. Guys will let you know real quick if they have interest because they want to find a spot.
Facts a thousand yard rusher is looking to be RB1 that's a question when we have Chaney and Knighton Parrish would be a nice 3 headed monster rushing attack going with whose hot! Which is what he did last year and gained 600 yards in the SEC west! I definitely like Parrish over 1 of those backs (Dye)

I posted yesterday I'd expect him to be the portal rb. I know he'd been mentioned and Mario wants a portal rb and HS rb badly.
Who are the HS RBs we are targeting? Thanks.
