I've said this before about other positions but just because those 3 1000 yard rushers are available doesn't mean Miami has a shot. So is Miami gonna spend time chasing RBs who haven't reached out and tell a guy who got plenty of power 5 carries hold on just for him to go some place else? The portal is different. Guys will let you know real quick if they have interest because they want to find a spot.
So Miami wouldn’t have a shot at Travis Dye with multiple of his former coaches here? Miami couldn’t go get Jared Broussard who’s from Dallas? Or FCS transfer Dante Miller, Minnisota transfer Ky Thomas, Buffalo transfer Dylan McDuffie or Stanford transfer Nathaniel Peat? I could go on and on.

Miami fans always have excuses to take average SFL players.

Our track record with local backs is about 100 times better than with backs from the rest of the country.

The local backs have been pros, and the other backs have been busts.

I'm not that high on Parrish as well I think we have that already in Knighton but hey what do I know. I'm just here like y'all lol

^ See? Nothing but excuses then y’all get mad at Manny for going after easy recruitments instead of getting into battles. Y’all are doing the same thing.

I'm not even from south Florida so I don't care about that nonsense. Have you heard that Travis Dye who is from California wants to move across the country? Nathaniel Peat is from Missouri. When Dye says he wants in then it becomes a different conversation. List all the portal guys you'd like. Doesn't mean a **** thing if they don't have any interest. Just dreamland type stuff.

How do you know they don’t have interest? Did they send a memo? Text? phone call? WhatsApp message?

You’re guessing just as much as I supposedly am.

I'd be curious to know if any of these portal RBs have interest - they'd be transferring into a thin, but talented, RB room. You're not guaranteed carries at all if Chaney comes back well from his injury.

Didn't I just write "Have you heard that Travis Dye who is from California wants to move across the country?" That is not the question of someone who knows. But just throwing out portal names and saying we need to be after them and tell Parrish to get gone is silly if those other guys aint even looking at Miami.

I am very confident that we are a match.

1. There is an obvious Columbus connection with Mario.
2. Kevin Smith is his coach and, in my opinion, the natural comparison for him as a player (not as heavy).
3. He provides a different dynamic than the other guys with his fluidity and running instincts. Chaney is the size/speed athlete and Knighton is the versatile explosive back.
4. Hometown pull.
5. Henry Parrish, Sr. and David Cooney were teammates and I heard from a source they may be related.

Ole Miss had one of the best running attacks in the nation with Ealy, Conner and Parrish forming a three-headed monster. I can see something similar here. Let's see how quick we set up that OV. Could be sooner than later.
Cooney and Parrish are related.

This dude is a 4* player who is averaging 5.3 yards per carry in the SEC. He’s also good in the passing game.

His RB coach and Mario want him because he’s a good player.
Such a good player that Kevin Smith didn’t even recommend him to be the starter but whatever you say.

Parrish can help Miami no doubt.

Thing is Parrish, Knighton, and Chaney you would think still has their best football ahead of them. Parrish can be even better in 2022 than he was in 2021 when he averaged 5.3.
