What good is recruiting when none of the highly rated signees play lol
no lies told, just not sure how much was scheme vs coaching ... but couldn't deny, the regression was bad regardless of scheme

Hopefully being shipped off to the boulder known as Mars.
In your opinion, has he damaged his relationships with the U? He seems to have done a nice job for the Buffs DL.

Linebackers, especially Kiko, regressed year over year. Recruiting was fairly decent at best.

A good man, and a better coach than what last year showed. I'm a little so-so on his evals and ability to recruit the types of players we need to land at the linebacker position. Our LBs played like absolute **** last year, and we saw a serious regression from an All-Conference level LB in Kiko.

And for those reasons, he had to go.

He'll probably do well at Mizzou. They get some good linebackers out there in the Ozarks and Texarkana.

Are you implying that Guidry dictates rotation?
Not implying it. Idk what the issue is.

Either that, they were overrated, bad evaluation, or not being developed/coached up to play.

The main guys that played were coached by other people before Guidry/Nicholson (Kiko, Wes, Alderman). Popo looked rough most of the time when he played. Bobby Pruitt played very little. That’s about it.

Not directly but he has a nasty image with all of his issues he’s associated with.

Can we hire a full time special teams coach, that can also assist maybe DB's or DL?

Miami ranked 78th in Punt Return yards allowed defense
Miami ranked 121st in Kickoff return yards defense

Not mad at it. Hetherman can coach linebackers and if we get a guy like Monroe he can take the secondary which leaves room for a full time special teams coach.
That's a waste. I'm not convinced that our special teams issues are a symptom of the fact that Kalter isn't an on-field position coach.

It's more an indictment on sh*tty coaching then it is the actual fact that he's not an on-field coach.

If you want to hire a different full time special teams coach, go do it. But he doesn't have to be an on-field coach.

If we can close on Monroe for db's get a guy from nfl level to coach specials. Time to emphasize teaching around here.
