If UGA loses to Texas wouldn’t we be in? I’d expect UGA to then fall out of the top 12. But then again, they are SEC. A loss to Texas in a close game and they might actually climb in the rankings. lol.

I’m asking for clarification because I really don’t know. Does UM have a chance if Boise State loses?
No because then the winner of Tulane/Army would simply take the 12th playoff spot. We may be 12th when the playoffs begin but final playoff spot belongs to the highest ranked G5 team - regardless if its top 12 or not

Feel like the G5 getting a guaranteed slot is ridiculous. They should be required to schedule all P4 teams as their non-conference games to qualify for the 12 team playoff.

Absolutely disgusting that the FBS CFP committee has essentially compared the ACC and B12 to the G5 conferences.

How is a 1 loss Indiana that's not even in the B1G championship in? They beat one team with a winning record and the only good team (OSU) smoked them 38-15. All they did was beat up on the bottom of the B1G. The schedule worked out in their favor but they'll probably get spanked in their playoff game.

This is why a BCS-style computerized ranking should take place to rank teams. Just let the conference championships be determined by the team with the best conference record. No conference champ auto bids. 2013 BCS-ranked CFP bracket would've been:

1.FSU
2. Auburn
3. Bama
4. Michigan State

8. Missouri
9. USCe

5. Stanford
12. Clemson

6. Baylor
11. Oklahoma

7. Ohio St.
10. Oregon

Try to remove as much human bias in what is already the most biased-influenced post season in all of sports. College basketball is also based on a selection committee, but they have much more spots to fill and usually get it right.

UGA won't fall out of the top 12 as a 3 loss SEC runner up.

Failed season. This was the peak for Cristobal. What a disaster and disgrace he has been... I take responsibility, I wanted him as head coach here. I was dead wrong and I own it.
this year was better than the **** show manny had going on.

Was it? Manny was 21-15 over three years. Mario is 22-15 over three years. Manny played two less games because of Covid. He went 8-2 in 2020 (the covid year). Manny 8-2 in 2020 = Mario 10-2 in 2024. Both had dynamic qbs their big "progress year." One got fired after year three. No emotions in this post. Only facts. So I ask again, where is the alleged progress?

Well they trailed in only 2 games all season. One game for only 2 minutes bc national champion kicked a fg on the game’s opening drive. They dominated their opponents

Man, if GT beat Georgia, I believe we would be in.

I think Indiana got an unfair pass into the playoff. Why were they definitely in when their wins are
5-7 ucla
5-7 Michigan state
6-6 Washington
6-6 Nebraska
1-11 Purdue
4-8 northwestern
7-5 Michigan
4-8 Maryland
4-8 fiu
4-8 western Illinois
5-7 charlotte

If number of wins and losses don’t matter …just saying

Am I happy about how things turned out in 2024, not completely. On the other hand, Cristobal inherited a terrible situation, made great progress this year and is signing a very good recruiting class today. Things will continue to improve and UM will get better. However, being part of the ACC is a problem. UM is treated poorly after 21 years by the league offices, officiating continues to be biased, and the payouts are mediocre. I would love to see UM big boosters willing to payout the early exit fee, if it meant UM could join the Big Ten.

How terrible was the situation that he inherited really? Miami was an underachieving 7 win team that won 5 of their last 6 regular season games to end the 2021 season. Some of those guys are playing for SMU in a game that we should be in this weekend in Charlotte. Again, some are giving grace to a man that is being paid more and given more than any other coach in program history to basically produce the same record as his predecessor. This is fool's gold. Cam Ward and NIL $$ got us to 10 wins. Without Ward and a tougher schedule, we will see what Mario is all about. I just don't want to prolong the suffering for another 3 to 4 years of him hiring coordinators and assistant coaches and firing assistant coaches and coordinators again. If he bombs again, get rid of him.

This is year 3 of a 10 year contract, 7 years and $56 million yet to be paid out. I suggest you work on your patience over the next 3-4 years. Mario isn't going anywhere.
