The Miami Hurricanes checked in at No. 12 in the College Football Playoff Rankings released Tuesday evening.

Miami was ranked 14th in both the the Associated Press Top 25 and US LBM Coaches Poll on Sunday.

The Hurricanes (10-2) concluded their best regular season in seven years, posting a 10-win campaign for just the second time in since joining the Atlantic Coast Conference ahead of the 2004 campaign.

Miami awaits its postseason destination, which will be announced on Dec. 8.

Ok, I will formally close the book on this 2024 Season.

Miami loses on the road to a currently ranked team and drops 6 spots.

Ohio State loses at home to an unranked Michigan and drops 4 spots.

Nobody to blame but ourselves but how does that make any sense
I am guessing the argument is OSU’s other L was to Oregon so viewing it as 1 bad loss versus our 2.

I’m asking for clarification because I really don’t know. Does UM have a chance if Boise State loses?

No, because that would result in a bid stealer jumping us. Were definitively out.

The problem with the "nobody to blame but ourselves" argument - while technically true, why doesn't this argument apply to Bama? Why do we have nobody to blame but ourselves but the team ranked ahead of us gets to be absolutely shellacked by a ****** Oklahoma team and "earns" a playoff spot?

I wanna win every game, sure, but I want the playing field to at least be level enough to not be laughable. If we have to go 11-1 or better just to be in the conversation, that's not "nobody to blame but ourselves."
