Overplays his starters. Can’t run a decent offense. Flames out in the playoffs. Destroyed one of the potentially greatest player of all time. Not interested.
Who did he destroy?

Was really hoping the DC would bring his own guys but looks like that is not the case.

Any details on Hayward? I know nothing about him
DC don’t got any guys lol

Derrick Rose
he ran jimmy butler into the ground, rose hurt himself because he had that euro step, herky jerky way of jumping and landing, it was bound to happen. Thibs has improved alot but he just likes to play his starters too much. the guy can develop talent though.

Pretty sure he's a really good recruiter. Not sure how good of an actual coach he is though. But DB is a position that typially will have 2 coaches especially when the DC is LB coach.

COULD be Monroe at CB and Hayward at S or something...

The options to bring his own guys (with prior experience together) would be very limited. He went into a full staff at Minnesota where he was the only plugged in piece.

His guys include - Matt Birkett - former CBs coach at USF. Was with him at Maine and JMU, Edidie Whitley - coached rovers under Hetherman at JMU, moved to coach safeties later, and now their CB coach.

Aside from that, Bryant Haines is the DC at Indiana and the rest aren’t really at this caliber.

Weird thing with those Minnesotans… we were down in Disney one day on a bus going to a park, and there was a guy from Minnesota on it, he says and I quote “I can’t stand these hot days, all the time sweating, I love my -10/20 degree weather” I was like speak for yourself you Land-O-Lake loving bastid. So, not sure how Monroe, being a Minnesotan, would feel about the South Florida heat and humidity, but if he comes woohoo, and I know nothing about the guy, just going by what others have said on here.

He coached like 13 years at 'Cuse and Colgate. Buddy may actually hate the sun

I usually just pay attention to our Hurricanes compared to others so I’m not keen on who is who of the coaching carousel. I appreciate a lot of content brought forth by a good bit of posters on here. Could be a regular Howie from The Benchwarmers.

Derrick Rose should've never been in the game when he got hurt lmao it was Thibs constantly playing his players late in blowouts

even then, Birkett was fired/parted ways with USF & replaced with CIS favorite, Demarcus Van Dyke.

seems like he can work effectively with others though, or maybe just my hope. 😭

You could say that being that mario got his start as a on field coach under him

Both spent two years coaching with Schiano at Rutgers and I'm sure both would consider him an influential figure in their development. Schiano spent 1 year on Butch's staff when Mario was a GA, so he doesn't have a significant history with Schiano. Mario spent more time with Saban.
