Miami is expected to hire Minnesota Corey Hetherman as DC

The Miami Hurricanes have their defensive coordinator. Minnesota defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman will be taking the same position with the Canes.

In games against FBS opponents, Minnesota finished 10th nationally in scoring defense (18.3 PPG), 14th in yards per play (4.7) and 19th in yards per pass attempt against (6.3).

Like Mario Cristobal, the 44-year-old Hetherman comes from the Greg Schiano coaching tree, having coached linebackers at Rutgers from 2022-23.

Hetherman had tremendous success at the FCS level. In 2021, he was named AFCA FCS Assistant Coach of the Year after coordinating James Madison's No. 2-ranked defense in the nation. He also served as Maine's defensive coordinator from 2016-18, leading the FCS in rushing defense, interceptions and fumble recoveries in his final season.

Hetherman is a Massachusetts native who played quarterback at Fichburg State from 2003-06.

It’s not weird at all if you really think about it. It’s quite typical behavior for people that get off on bullying people like he does. This is just how they react when they get punched in the face. Their cowardliness gets exposed and they run off like the little ******* they are.

I saw their defense overall was not very good. #100. But if he’s coming here as CB coach, that’s what I care about.

Overplays his starters. Can’t run a decent offense. Flames out in the playoffs. Destroyed one of the potentially greatest player of all time. Not interested.
