Munroe is obviously a name to watch as I’ve mentioned but there’s another one out there that would be a great addition and a possible replacement down the road. You always want coordinators to get head gigs. It means you’ve been successful.
Donte Williams me...I know it's a long shot lol

Looks like Chevis Jackson is headed to Wake Forest so expect Hetherman to bring along some of his assistants.

Mensah was no where close to a UM caliber we all want
You are correct they protected him
Good deep ball but guys were wide open

Exactly. They had Mario Williams (Oklahoma and USC), Yulkeith Brown (Texas A&M) running routes against Charlotte, UAB, etc. DBs and he hit A LOT of wide open throws.

if he was the DC at JMU, why didn't he follow Cignetti to Indiana? anyone know? seems reasonable to assume that Cignetti would have brought him to Indiana

Because he took an opportunity to coach for Schiano at Rutgers two years before Cignetti bolted for Indiana.
Nothing odd about this.
Who wouldn't leave JMU for a Big10 gig?
Cignetti had some turnover in staff during his time at JMU, among them a RB coach who left for USF who is now at UM as well (so there is a connection with the new DC).

Am I wrong?

Does this fanbase not chew Coaches up & spit'em out for breakfast?

Hethermen could literally be the best DC in America with the #1 ranked Defense & there will be a contingency of fans who will want him fired & blame our season coming up short on him.

Guarantee it.

That's fair. I literally read on this board that we should fire Dawson after this year. It wasn't many people doing it but the fact that someone would suggest firing the coordinator of the #1 offense really says something.

Any chance in **** we can throw a bag at Koi Perich and convince him to enter the spring portal...would love to add him and Lucas and call it a day with the secondary retooling...kid is from Minnesota though so not sure he leaves home

Was Jeff Popovich the last white DB we had?

Well, Wikipedia is wrong. Cignetti has been at Indian for one season. Hetherman has been at both Minnesota and Rutgers, so he left at least one year before Cignetti, maybe two.
Thx. So he left JMU as a DC and went to Rutgers as a LB coach? Not challenging you just trying to understand his trajectory
