new DC is aggressive is a Solid Verbal 'fantasy thing' every season for a reason.
The point that continues to be lost isn’t the hiring of the staff but hiring people that align schematically. Which has been a problem on both sides of the ball since Mario arrived. A lot of philosophical and scheme differences between coaches isn’t the best way to do business.

They don’t have to be from the same tree or connected as for as having a relationship. My point has been hijacked in typical Cis form and turned into a whole different argument. I’m not sure how much simpler I can make it.

That's not entirely true.

They only ask my opinion on things like this to reaffirm what they already feel.

If I don't like a hire or a player, they have zero interests in what I say or think.

Trust me, as soon I say something they don't like or agree with, no matter how true it is, they'll grab the closest brick they can find to throw it through my window.

It's the opposite of running through a brick wall for a coach.

"At CIS, brick wall runs through you! What a website!"

Give yourself a little more credit.

What you say is true and applies to MANY on this board. But, there are others (myself included) who value your FOOTBALL opinion, especially when it’s not filled with sunshine and rainbows. It’s how we become more educated because most of us never played the game.

Keep doing you!
Agreed. I think he tends to keep it pretty honest and fair. People also refer to others all the time too, many of which have biases way that Memnon does not.

would be wild for mario to be linked to this guy several times over the years, then finally hire the guy's boss, while we have an opening for his role, and NOT bring him right?

Mario seems to pay more attention to complementary recruiting personalities than he does with their working compatibility with their co-workers.

Minnesota mod just posted a bunch of notes this morning and dropped this, Fwiw. He also stated and made it very clear that he expects the Safety coach, Collins, to be elevated to DC.

I’d feel a lot better landing him here I want someone else who knows his system here with him the hire best available with the Salavea spot

Doesn’t appear he brought anyone with him to Minnesota. Maybe he has a connection from previous Rutgers and James Madison stops.

I for one value your opinion. Doesn’t matter if I agree or disagree with it. Like you feel Georgia is the biggest threat to college football. I disagree and think it’s Texas. But this world would be boring if everyone agreed on everything lol

So you need CSI to hijack a tree and have a simple argument with it. Now I understand

I agree.

There are camps that call a 6i a 7. If these guys don’t speak the same language you can imagine how the players get confused.

Scheme is more than even / odd. It’s practice style, turnover circuit, tackling and tracking, drills, language, etc.
