MY BAD. Went to pool league early last night to get some practice and it turned into a shot marathon. Shots of whiskey that is. Still got a rackless last night. Missed 8 on break twice by about half an inch.

I hope that was some good whiskey after making this post. LOL.

Virginia Tech lost to a team who lost to Georgia State.

They struggled with Marshall and only led by 4 points at halftime vs Old Dominion.

I'm not calling them trash but I am not calling them a good team either

We were 4-0 last season this time and had played a better team already. If these guys aren’t taking this game seriously they’re not the team we think they are. Love the interview but it’s all talk right now. Go out and dominate a limited one dimensional team like we should, and don’t ever let a GT happen again.

Its funny, somewhat a déjà vu from last year. We're 4-0 and Va Tech 2-2. Last year Miami was 4-0 and Ga Tech was 2-3. Both games were night games, one on Thurs and this year on Fri. Going into Ga Tech a lot of us picked a blow out (me included)

Both Ga Tech and Va Tech are coming off home losses before playing Miami

Jameson Orange, Jameson, Proper 12 and Tullermore dew. Nothing too fancy. Usually drink the better stuff when we're chilling and grilling. My buddy is from Iran and he has a very unique way of grilling. Kind of like Texas de Brazil but on the back porch.

I like the Irish whiskey, relatively inexpensive compared to Scotch.
Kudos to you and your Iranian friend - I love their food too.

Their O-Line has given up more sacks than almost any other team. Bain has yet to play and we lead the ncaa in team sacks. We should win this game easily. In previous years, a Friday night home game would make me a little nervous , but Ward isn’t going to ruin his Heisman chances in a game against VT.

You have good taste in liquor and friends. Was your Persian friend making kabobs?

That GTech game is still so ridiculous even without considering the taking a knee piece.

Gtech had a 26 yard TD drive, a 6 yard field goal drive, and even with the miraculous TD throw still only had 250 yards of offense. It was absolutely the most 1 sided game in a while vs a P5 team minus about 30 seconds.

VT is not trash and they will bring their A game. Its a semi rivalry. But I feel Cam has this team focused. Expect a dog fight first half.
I hope Cams cousin wants a heisman winner in the family and plays bad on purpose and let's Cam get as many offensive possessions possible

This stood out to me as him saying the culture wasn't there last year. I would like to know what has changed to see that growth? Hopefully not JUST Cam, but something more sustainable has been put in place.
Assuming this culture stays, I hope there’s a story on the Mauigoa brothers’ role in that shift. They are culture setters, and could make one of the great last names in this program’s history imo.

They perfectly represent Mario’s ability to find young culture guys out of high school like Fletch, Bain, Emory and portal guys like Cam, Meesh Powell, McCormick.

Exactly. Taking opponents lightly is the death knell of past Miami teams. This team is built differently, so I fully expect 40+ from our offense and 21- from our defense. But Kiko is right to say you need to take Va Tech seriously. The Hokies have underperformed to their talent level. That defense should be playing a lot better. They've got quality edge rushers, solid LBers, NFL level DBs. Passing on them should be a lot harder than our first four games.

My expectation is that with Rivers back, we stonewall their pass rush and Cam picks them apart especially on the perimeter in the pass game, and our bigger mass up front wears them down in the run game like it has other teams. But if we come out like we did in the first half of USF or that second quarter of FAMU for a whole game, it's going to be a problem.

I hope we get their best game, we need it. Facing and overcoming adversity is the only way to climb to the top of the mountain. We got USF's best game and still rolled them. Go Canes.
True. A very good tune up for Louisville

Freaky Friday man....just come out focused wear them down and pull away.

Weather every teams early emotion of knocking off Miami and getting a marquee or season changing win. By the end of the first quarter most teams should be thinking "oh man this isnt the same team....they are physical and fast."
I wonder if weather will interfere with VA Tech gettin here. Storm appears to be veering west a bit.

Exactly, every mfer always wants to beat us, when we play like this it’s even greater. We in turn need to crush these cucks. Rip out their hearts and eat their f**king souls. They hate us, want to take what we have, make us Less Than. There are no easy games. Every game, every team we play are ther for one reason, Beat the U. Our mission is to make them, their kids, their parents, their fans to never have those thoughts , ever again. Let’s play ball🙌🏽Go Canes #CANESNATIONLIFER
