I don't know the nuances of NIL of whatever, but this seems like a poor personal/character evaluation. That is the common link between all these high drama episodes.

proctor transferred twice this cycle Bama to Iowa (enrolled) and then Iowa to Bama (enrolled) and hes eligible
Iowa self reported a recruiting violation because it contacted proctor while he was at Bama.
That may be the issue.

And this may be the angle he’s using to go to mizzu.

I hear you but the rules are so convoluted now. But this wouldn’t even be consideration if it were that cut and dry and there wasn’t some grey area loophole that could be leveraged.
They’re actually isn’t any leverage he has here. And this has been made clear to him. Which again, is why you’re hearing the communication between UM and Barrow has been happening. Like I said, odds are he’ll be back on the team very soon because that’s his only choice unless he wants to sit out a year.

This guy (barrow) went into portal mid- April. During this time he visited LSU, mizzou and us, and maybe another school (us); During this time either him or his dad signed agreement with LSU supposedly and then allegedly his family received money from LSU & then allegedly whatever amount was his family spent it all and LSU wants it back now. Then after 3 weeks - Barrow committed to us (Canes); and said we will have best dline in country and really talked a big game: Then he proceeded to enroll with us and workout on campus with other players; while still having conversation with mizzou; Then late Thursday he leaves Mami and does not tell staff and nobody knows why. So he had all this time and could of selected mizzou or LSU but chose us and he is 23 years old redshirt senior. Why do I get feeling that this young adult is being led astray by his parents or handlers. Just a hunch.

Hopefully. The eligibility rules should be as such. If there’s literally no other way than sitting out a year he made a really poor decision drumming all of this up.

Again, the difference is, Cormani entered the transfer portal and then transferred. The transfer portal is closed! End of story.
You would think if you were paying attention you wouldn’t say anything is the end of the story. And I don’t know what the actual answer is, but I do know the NCAA just agreed to stop enforcing transfer rules officially as a settlement with the 10 state attorneys and the overall suit. That may or may not conflict with transfer portal which you are correct on the dates on, but you can bet your *** somebody’s gonna go challenge the portal window rules now too on top of the transfer changes that have now been essentially codified. “Definitive” in college football in 2024 is big risk and I wouldn’t be surprised about any outcome. I don’t even care what the paper says today.

Cormani is a walk on for Florida and will be playing this season. Presumably his NIL deal is paying his way. Teams are going to start doing this IMO. Walk ons play all the time and NIL is going to be a way to get a “free” scholarship.
Cormani could use Bright Futures (I have no idea about his grades/GPA) or potentially Pell Grant (no idea his financial status) to avoid paying. Maybe his family had pre-paid? That still exist in FL?

yeah it looks like the only way he plays is if he walks on and id bet Missouri will give him an NIL to cover his tuition. I think there is a movement to eliminate walk ons bc of this loophole.

It's possible the only way the senior could join another program this fall would be to enroll as a walk on. Zenitz says there is buzz that he could land at Missouri.
If he's ineligible to play, he's ineligible to play. It doesn't matter how his tuition is paid. Cormani transferred when the portal was open. Barrow can also be a walk on, but he can only participate on the scout team, he can't play in games.

... unless he finds a loophole or gets a waiver. These rules are changing continually so who knows. I'm betting that a waiver will be hard to get.

Well, as far as Barrow playing this season for another team, that’s not gonna happen. Transfer portal is closed. And that is end of story. People on here can continue to just make up whatever they want to make up, but it’s not reality. Once the transfer portal is closed and you have enrolled and matriculated into classes at a program, that is the program you’re going to play for that fall, unless you want to sit out a year.

Best believe there will be new legislation rolling out next week with language that will allow him to go to Missouri and Miami being required to pay his NIL on their behalf
Is this a reference to Michael asking the senator to pay the gaming license fee?

Nil to cover for tuition and boarding is no where near what the number corner would be getting in today’s market. But if he pans out, uf is getting a steal. And if it is, that’s great.
But thats at least 50k that would be going into cormani’s pocket that now is going to bursars office.

What no one seems to be asking is… who’s paying?
Because if you expect cormani or his mom to be saving that walk on nil money to pay for tuition……. Good luck with that.

The cormani drama isn’t over. And it boggles my mind that with all the bad press the gators have gotten and will continue to get due to the Rashada case, they actually brought in a kid who has more baggage than samsonite.

Unless Cormani plans on being a walkon for 2 whole years it isn’t going to be nowhere near $50k. Cost of full tuition and board for an instate student is $23,530 for an entire year and he’s likely to be put on scholarship in the spring. Going out on a limb and assuming he doesn’t qualify for bright futures or any other aid it’s not going to cost him more than $11-12k of his NIL money to attend which I’m sure their star ***** collective will gladly cover. Now if he was doing this at Miami it would cost $50k.

And you best believe the ncaa has been notified about Mizzou like Tulane did Miami and UF before that last year.
We are saved. NCAA always fairly enforces things around Miami

RULES FOR THEE BUT NOT FOR WE

There’s NO way this will be the norm. I just asked a buddy of mine who is a OC for a big program because I wanted to see if this was accurate and he said it is not allowed and if a player “ walks on “ the NCAA will be all over his **** and his family’s also. There’s NO way this is accurate.

What restriction prevents it? It’s happening right now. AFAIK BYU has a whole NIL setup to pay walk on tuitions.
