Such an elite recruiter he signs him, gets him on campus, lets him go... JUST TO SIGN HIM AGAIN. Mario was just bored and needed to stay sharp.

Gonna need to saint Mario as the recruiter of lost causes if kid comes back. This would be miracles 2 AND 3.

Part of recruiting isn't just pulling in star rankings, but doing your due diligence on character evals. Burroughs, this guy, they're really desperate for a large, developed DT (why can't they develop one from the 4-5 they have? See: Feld) they're taking risks on culture killers

That’s completely false! He enrolled and matriculated into classes. if he leaves now, he hast to sit out a year because he will not be eligible for a scholarship this year.
For 50 years, your assumption is correct but ... Barrow enrolled for a summer session. He can enroll someplace new in the fall. There isn't anymore transfer enforcement from the NCAA. These changes just happened in the last few months through the courts.

Is he eligible to play via walk-on? Some booster is going to start a college fund in hometown for “Matriculators over 280#”. And he’ll win with a heartfelt essay

Still incorrect. Yeah he can just leave Miami and enroll with a different school but he will not be Eligible for a scholarship there. He cannot enter the portal anymore either because that window is closed now. So yeah, he can leave and go to a different school, but he can’t get a scholarship there. And this reality has been made clear to him, which is why you see communication has been happening back-and-forth with Miami. Odds are pretty good He’ll be back on the team.

I hope he is back on the team in Miami too. I didn't say the word scholarship.

He could probably walk on with a nil deal paying his tuition if a program is willing.

I hope he comes back also, because we need him and its only June 2, so we have two months to get him back in good graces. Also, last day to register for university of Mizzou summer session is 6/5/24. So if he does not register by then, he has to join that specific team in august 2024 for workouts, etc. Also, Mizzou must have a big need for DT's if they are willing to pay his graduate classes tuition, etc, on top of lsu payment and then the NIL money needed for DT's nowadays. So even if he gets eligible to play for mizzou this year, its not going to be an easy transfer at this point.

If the NFL thinks the man is coo coo for cocoa puffs, he might end up like Javion Cohen and Gerald Willis.

Yes, but the issue is the transfer portal deadline. Cormani and few other players were able to do that, since they left before the portal closed on 5/1/24. If you remember, they just tweeked the rule where even grad transfers had to declare by 5/1/24 or be ineligible for fall and this is brand new. Since he is enrolled in miami now and received aid & portal closed, even as a walk-on he still would be ineligible for fall; unless miami dismissed him from team or he gets a hardship waiver. Also, with this publicity that he is enrolled now, it might dissuade Mizzou from tampering with him and his dad (i doubt it though). Think of borroughs last year. He came in after portal closed and not officially dismissed by bama (suspended). He walked on (not on scholly) and not a grad transfer (before new rule in place). He was on scout team. He would of played when we lost DT due to injury, if he was eligible as a walk on. Having said all this, its the SEC so if they really want him badly, the will find a loophole, hopefully his camp comes to its senses and he comes back ready to work.

Ur last statement is the reason i have faith he won’t go to Mizzou. Sec protects teams in the spring transfer window with that lsu agreement I bet they won’t allow him to play

Good to know. Part of the difficulty with guys like Scott and Jones is once the recruitments were shut down over the summer (well initially) was there really wasn’t much info that came out during the season. We don’t know how they’ve been progressing during the offseason

With Bain he was under a microscope here and you could see he attacked the off-season like a maniac. I can only assume it will be the same with these other guys but will be great to see when they actually arrive and start practicing
Well, Bain was always talked about on this site as a kid who was a 5 star talent. I know how challenging it is to project 6-4 310 pound kid and how they will project as freshman against grown men who have been in programs for 3-5 years. But with the 4 DTs we have ( if we lose barrow ) and with Scott I think we will be ok. He’s huge with solid technique and great feet.
