If only Manny had hired Zo…..
I’m reserving judgement temporarily until HS season starts/ranking adjustments. BUT we still need to start landing the big fish, and before August ends.
I personally like our class quite a bit. If you presented each players tape without an associated ranking I feel a lot of opinions would be different. We’ll see how it plays out but this is partly why Zo was brought on board.
There are only a few questionable takes for me (Russell, but **** Jason freakin Taylor loves the kid so wtf so I know).
CWH ain’t a **** 86 composite to my eyes.

Not saying that he doesn’t legit love him, but do we expect to hear reports of “Jason Taylor also completely skeptical of this take”?
We will find out in the next few years what the actual truth is here with these guys

For as much talk as people like to make about how a Miami commit gets lowered in the rankings (which isn’t completely untrue) if we look back through the classes the truth is our guys have been consistently overrated by the services

Yep. Are we over correcting now is the question. We will see. I’d love to feel confident we are snatching up these kids that go elsewhere to become 1-3 RD picks (won’t know until this plays out) while we were left **** in hand signing a JAG 4 star.

I think the majority of us all feel the same way. We will look at these kids differently if they are filling out the class rather than being the focal point which they are now
what does Jason Taylor know? he hasn't signed or developed a single college player so we're in a wait & see mode with him just as much as with everyone else
I can't justify any guy ranked that low, no way to spin that

I like CWH and Pruitt in particular. Shavers is decent as well, the rest look like 3 stars through and through to me. The worry on CWH is size but if he puts together another great year we will earn that 4th star. With Pruitt I think they are late to the party in general. 1 they should have him listed as an LB not a safety and 2 he makes plays whether it’s in space, coverage or rushing the passer. Don’t care that they speed up his film to make his hits look more violent but he is a good one. Some questions about his weight but I trust the staff there.
Fair, but as someone else has mentioned, I think we are going to need to see how it all plays out down the road to prove a track record, etc.

I’ve been saying the same. We won’t know until it plays out. But we also don’t know now if their evaluations are **** so it’s fruitless to even argue back and forth on it until we see results.
Same can be said for “what does Jason Taylor NOT know?” Just because he’s green as an on field coach doesn’t not = the inability to scout talent.
It’s fine to be skeptical but downright criticism is unwarranted until results are shown on the field.

I assume most who don't see it with Russell are also not fans of the Judd take, especially if he's the only QB in this class. Judd's commitment thread was mostly filled with justified skepticism and dissatisfaction with QB recruiting as a whole considering the timing of his announcement coincided with us losing the battle for Air Noland.
Not to mention that anytime our QB recruiting is brought up, it's usually met with deflection about "but the DL class, bro" or assurance that the portal is a foolproof solution instead of posters legitimately vouching for Judd as an actual QB1.
Again, I think most of us view Judd’s commitment the same way we view Russell’s. I don’t have a problem with our staff taking a chance on Russell if he were our 5th DT in this class and we landed dudes like Stone, Scott, Franklin etc. in front of him. Similarly, if we are planning on taking two QB’s in this class and we’re able to land a blue chip QB and take Judd as our #2 in this class then folks wouldn’t be as concerned. Just for fun, I was looking at QB commitments earlier and as of right now Indiana, Vanderbilt, Kansas, Cal, and Purdue all have higher ranked QB’s committed than us. I get it...our offense was atrocious last year, but we have a new OC and we’re still The U and you’re telling me this is the best we could get? I like Judd’s attitude and he’s been a great ambassador for this class but Zo/Dawson/Mario are obviously seeing something nobody else in the industry is.Y'all hate this take but love Judd and says he's a "developmental guy".
