Yes, there is a part of me that does believe that the DLine coach did have the ability to dictate the line calls and assignments in situations, as is the case in most systems.. I was more so asking frequency of that happening. And the reason I asked the question is because of a pass rushing machines friend, the stunt. We used it far too much this year in odd timings/situations and I want to know who was responsible for that.
I'll keep thinking real hard about it though to be on the safe side, thanks for the suggestion.

Personally, I don’t trust people who don’t cuss. You don’t have to be Andrew Dice Clay but there are times in life where cussing is warranted, even from the most articulate among us. If you stub your toe in front of me and then holler “Gee Willickers!!!”, I’m looking at you with the side-eye from then on…

Actually what you just described was JT game to a tee. He was absolutely a pass rushing machine. But he dropped in coverage regularly. That's possibly what made him so dangerous and why he got so many picks...

Is there still a cap for on field coaches? I ask because I love having two defensive line coaches. But I would also love to see a legit ST coach. The one thing I noticed watching the CFP is that there is a lot of creativity out there with ST's. Even as simple as tricking a team into having too many players on the field when attempting a punt that resulted in a first down. Those little games within the game can make all the difference in the world when facing an evenly matched team.
