fair enough. Mulligan year. He needs to spread the ball this year.
I’ve posted multiple times it’s sink or swim time for Tvd. This is the biggest year of his life in regards to football being a career. He controls everything from having a hand in the offense , full control of sliding protections , audibles right down to the narrative. No excuses.

im not falling for hype. ii need to see it on the field. sorry blind faith was gone when we fired an entire staff one season in which means you failed in your job as a HC. its not unlike Manny when he failed in year 1 hiring an O staff and had to fire everyone and same when he fired Baker.
That's fine. I wasn't asking for your justification or blind faith. But UF is not a threat. The only threat at all right now for Chance is Pedo State. You can believe otherwise if you choose.

Let’s do a thought exercise here and explain why you believe that UF is not a threat outside of just our collective hatred of that program? For the record I believe we hold on to Chance but do consider UF a threat, and here are my reasons I believe they are a threat.
1) he OVed there
2) they have a 5 star QB
3) they beat us head to head for a WR we wanted from a local feeder school last year when many said they weren’t a threat.

Nothing wrong with this statement and line of thinking. Mario nor this program in general has earned blind faith from the fanbase. Any house chips that were on the table last year were lost. Its a complete "show me" year

ayyy amigo. Unless you have some inside info on the situation that Im not aware, I think saying UF is not a threat here is a little loosy goosy for me. Unlikely...yes. But UF does have some groundwork laid in this recruitment. If our offense shows out its game over. They have no chance.

But we are being negatively recruited up the *** right now and if you are an 18 year old kid hearing that **** day after day after day, you are going to start second guessing your decision. The other variable is that I think Billy is going to be looking down the barrel at a very underwhelming class come November and could be backed in a corner. When people get desperate, they do crazy ****. That's why Im just not completely eliminating UF here just yet.

If that’s the case I’m not sure that’s a real threat. Penn state seems to think Gators are biggest threat to them. I guess we will get clarification after the official visit

I hope that white boy can swim good! haha I agree. If he looks like last year then there's no excuses. He is really getting the benefit of the doubt from gattis now gattis is gone TVD is sink or swim like you said and if it goes haywire it will go haywire fast. Oline is drastically better and offensive scheme couldnt get any easier compared to last year

There shouldn’t be a lot of audibles in the Air Raid.

If Dawson is going to take the next step, he needs to prove that his system is idiot proof, because he’s not asking the QB to do much.

If TVD struggles, I’m going to be more worried about what that means for us under Dawson, than I will what it means about TVD. If he can’t make it work with TVD, I guy we saw have a ton of success in an Air Raid passing scheme, he isn’t going to be able to make it work with anybody.

Look there's always a chance (pun not intended) but UF doesn't offer much of an upgrade to us. Lagway if he signs will he a true freshman and we know qb miss rate can be high. At least with PSU he'd have Allar and that can definitely be intriguing. I don't have inside info but following context clues and looking at the evidence I think PSU has a better pitch and situation for him.

I hear you. But my assertion isn't based on hatred:
1. He has or is scheduled to also visit PSU
2. They have Drew Allar who is a more proven commodity right now than a high school senior
3. The Andy Jean situation doesn't affect this recruitment whatsoever. We lost Jean mainly because his commitment here was closely tied to McClendon, once he left we were basically done for, there aren't any similar parallels with Chance.

You’re making the common mistake that most posters make and trying to apply logic to a 17 year old kid. As great as the always accurate camp reports may be coming out on Emory, if Lagway signs there a 17 year old kid is going to view that as a more attractive situation as it stands currently.

If we land a higher QB commit, land an elite guy in the portal before ESD or Brown and/or Emory play during the year and light it up that’s going to be the narrative to WR.

You are changing the scope of my reply. I didn’t say PSU was less or more of a threat compared UF, I was responding to your comment that UF wasn’t a threat. While Andy Jean is a different recruitment, it was just a data point that they did in fact dip into SFLA and took a WR we wanted last year with that same staff.

didn't say they were. just said that they did take a WR we wanted last year bc we sucked

look outside of canes fans, no one knows who the **** emory is and no one is coming down to play w him or the current qb commit. get an elite QB commit, you'll get elite kids wanting to play w him
