Based on those numbers, is it really crazy to say that if the roster stays as is, meaning we don’t get a Wingo or Williams or JS freak at WR that expecting Beck to be closer to TVD than Ward is this crazy talk?

So TVD starting 30 plus games at the P4 level is somehow equivalent to Emory starting 2? And somehow starting 30 such games at the P4 level, somehow makes that player not starter material? Okay man…
and he stunk in most of them, especially after his initial run as a backup that became the starter.
He showed OVER those 30 games he was unworthy of starting at this level and now is not. The guy you compared him to became the highest paid player on the market...the same market TVD was in.
So let’s reframe this because we clearly do not see eye to eye on TVD and arguing about him is pointless now since he is gone. I think there will be a sizeable drop off from Cam to Beck. I still think we can win the ACC with Beck but we won’t be able to put everything on his back and I see Beck putting up similar numbers to his 24 campaign.

TVD isn’t close to Beck. Did y’all not watch him before he got hurt at Wisky? He was god awful there too. TVD is closer to Robert Marve than he is Beck.

TVD single handedly lost to Middle Tennessee State. He let 6-6 Georgia Tech break his brain. He went for 160 yards 0 TDs and 2 INTs against a 3 win UVA team.
People are trying to compare a 439 yard 3 TD 3 INT performance @ #11 Alabama to absolutely s***ing the bed against 3 win ACC teams. They're trying to compare 175 yards and 3 INTs @ #4 Texas to 163 yards 0 TDs and 2 INTs at home to 3-9 UVA.

Since you’re going with the most recent success of these two. Comparing with Becks 2023 season: Only passing stats.
Difference from Cam: -359 yards, -11 TDs and -1 INT
Difference from TVD: +1,241 yards, +5 TDS, -6 INT
Now you could also reasonably compare Becks down 2024 season and taking into account Georgias offensive woes…even adding half of their dropped yards he would’ve been within ~~350-400 yards of Cam last season and certainly eclipse 30 TDs last season. We saw how that offense looked without Beck.
He is much closer to Cam than TVD. I don’t think Beck is all world, but maybe he is in a new situation. There’s more evidence to suggest Beck could have an uptick in production closer to Cam than regressing all the way down to TVD.
Now that the dust has settled and everything is done I ask this

I figured it was asked. This was my own curiosity. I love Beck. My only complaint, he won't be throwing during spring. Hard to be in sync with receivers by August 30th. Hope I'm wrong. But my gut says otherwise.
The recovery from the elbow surgery and how that looks going forward is definitely the big question mark hanging over the whole thing.

Nijel Pack's deal with LifeWallet was for 2 years. This is Pack's third year at UM.
Similarly, this is the Cavinder twins' third year since they initially transferred to UM in 2022.
Mr. Ruiz PAST TENSE had involvement with NIL. Currently, in the PRESENT TENSE, he has no involvement with NIL.

The Beck to TVD comparisons are crazy so I'm not gonna touch that.
But to argue TVD is not a P4 caliber starter is not a good argument. And to compare that to Emory is even worse.
TVD went into a season having won the starting job 3 times and two different teams. He is absolutely a starting caliber QB. Is he a championship worthy QB? No. But there are hundreds of QBs that never win the job that you never even see play...those are the definition on not a starting caliber player.
Emory never won a starting job. He took over for an injured QB.
