One of the deepest RB rooms in America just got a little thinner with the departure of Ajay Allen. The 6'0, 200-pound native of Monroe, LA announced he is leaving the Miami Hurricanes and entering the Transfer Portal:
Allen ran for 183 yards on a gaudy 7.6 yards per carry this season. He also scored 2 TDs. Allen often found himself fourth in the pecking order behind Damien Martinez, Mark Fletcher and Jordan Lyle, but he made the most of his opportunities. Highlights of his UM career include key carries in victories over Louisville, Clemson (in 2023) and a highlight reel hurdle of a Virginia defender:
Allen, who originally transferred from Nebraska, has two years of eligibility remaining. For this career, he has 734 yards (5.8 ypc) and 9 TDs. He was a three-star player out of Neville, LA but should be one of the most talented and coveted runners on the market.
