Head coach: Bobby petrino: would come at a discount and has a lot to prove IMO. Proven offensive mind who brought Louisville back around.

Oc: ken Dorsey: petrino would likely call the plays anyway and Dorsey has a great mind for the game. Would be great to have learn under an offensive guy like petrino

Rb: don soldinger; he needs another shot to go out the right way.

Wr: Lamar Thomas: new to coaching but hate having a former cane at Louisville.

Te: Larry scott is about the only
Coach I would keep on our staff.

Ol: give me someone from
Wisconsin or Nebraska, they know how to build an ol.

Dc: Jim leavitt: an aggressive attacking 4-3 and a guy that has head coaching experience

Dl: kevin Patrick: another former cane that has done some great things elsewhere.

Lb: mike barrow: keeps some toes to the local schools and realize he hasn't had a ton to work with.

Db: butch Davis/ pipe dream I know but let's see how bad he really wants to get back into coaching.

I'm bored and need to talk about something.

You killed your own moronic thread by starting with Petrino. Louisville put in massive buyout. Butch ain't coming back Either. Try gain or better yet, don't.

HC - Someone who is young a passionate and already bleeds Miami and understands their culture maybe Mario from Bama (even though he is inexperienced)

OC- Dorsey

DC- Butch

WR- Mark Duper or Lamar or even Irvin

TE- Retain Larry Scott

Rb- Don Soldinger

OL- Retain Art Kehoe

DB- Ed Reed (i know this is very unrealistic)

LB- Retain Barrow

DL- Idk about this one...tough to think on the spot

Like you said pretty unrealistic but hey whatever this is all for fun anyways.

Butch Davis or Rob Chudzinski as head coach and then let them pick their coaches. DC must run some variation of a 4 man front and the OC must run an NFL type of offense

not sure why you guys dont talk about chud more. he seems like a sharp cat.

Chud seems like an NFL lifer... He got a raw deal in Cleveland. He's it together some impressive offensive stats with all types of QBs.. If it was 'realistic', chud should be #1. I just don't think its a possibility.

If it wasn't for Golden's loyalty to his guys, he would be the man for the job. He seems like a leader but I just don't see him making the changes necessary to make us a top 10 team every year.

My choice would be a guy who completely understands the dynamics of SFLA football (Mario, Coley, whoever) or a guy that is a X&O genius who will at least coach up the talent he gets ( Leach, chad morris, Cutliffe). I don't think UM can afford anyone who brings both to the table.

Sounds good to me, except, no way in **** Butch is just a db coach anywhere. Remove Petrino for Butch, because if we're willing to bring Petrino with his baggage, we can bring back Butch and then find a solid db coach.

Please don't attack me for this, but weren't we crucifying Randy for the exact same thing? Anyone remember Arthur Brown?

HC im going after Mario Cristobal. He was on the way to making FIU respectable with talent primarily from central and south Florida. He also seems to have the attitude to fire our players up when they need it.

We actually just need people that bleeds orange and green in the program. That knows what it's like to run though the smoke, or put in work in 95 degree heat and humidity in the 70's. These are the ones we need going to recruit these kids to Mia. It will put some credibility.behind all the "This is Da U" talk.

I said Petrino as HC more because he seems to be a better gameday coach than Butch.

I don't ever want to see Mario around this program again after taking the job here and then leaving for Bama just months later.

I personally was kinda happy when i thought Golden was going to leave for PSU. Only because it would mean no Donofrio, and BUTCH SAID HED LIKE TO COME COACH Miami again. Plus Chudzinski and Schiano had just been fired. Im telling u that was the perfect time to get new coaches...
