You have to laugh

Aside from all the winning Clemson can go into any recruit's home and tell them the coach that recruited them will be there his entire time.

I know they lost their Co-OC to USF this year but overall they have had amazing continuity on their staff, from Venables on down.

That matters, a lot

I get that, just never thought Foreman was leaving the west coast. I figured it would have came down to SC, Oregon, or Arizona State with him.

So far their 2020 class and 2021 class features no one from the state of SCar. Actually 1: Venables son.

I’ve never seen a team able to recruit nationally like this ever.

Even Bama couldn't pull off a haul like that. Like you said, Clemson boosters are upping the bags.

The only cases to be made to recruits vs. Clemson right now is: 1) Playing time elsewhere, and; 2) Clemson is a small town that isn't terribly exciting. And some recruits couldn't care less about #2.

1. Win

2. Keep pumping out 1st round picks

Its that simple. now if you see ole miss out of no where getting a bunch of 5 stars then something is up.
With the way kids in South Florida transfer HS so much, all you have to do is win. They want to play for a team that wins (both in HS and College). Very few want to be a part of a rebuild or any up and comer. So you have to win for the elite South Florida kids to stay.

I might be off my rocker; working in recruiting now, its a trend that I am seeing in Florida and Cali.

Go play for the best program, head coach, staff on the planet while winning & being developed (NFL) at the highest level.. all while HAVING FUN (looking at you Saban).... or stay home to play for (flips coin, inserts name).. Yeah. It must be the bags.

How in the **** do u go from Cali to Clemson
Pretty easy to go to the best program in the country if offered.

In terms of adjusting to the local environment, don't know. Plenty of people go somewhere different, especially when it's only for a few years and compensation is involved.

Maybe things will actually work in reverse this time. I highly doubt it but who knows. Personally I’m glad. Tired of having the #1 class only to be used as a placeholder until other offers and money comes rolling in and then they go to the highest bidder.

I have little reason to doubt that Manny is still trying to get a whole bunch of early commits.
What this seems to show is this time it’s not even working.

It’s a little worrying. It makes me think the final class ranking will be really low.

They invited 15 recruits they wanted to an elite Junior Day. Four of them committed.

Korey Foreman 5 star DE #1 player for 2021 from California
Cade Denhoff 4 star DE from Lakeland, Fla
Jake Bringingstool 4 star TE from Tennessee
Beaux Collins 4 star WR from California (played on same HS team as Clemson 2020 QB DJ Uiagalelei)

Well they made it a true invite only with the small number and knew where the program stands nationally and with that each of these kids individually. They invited some top proiorities that they knew they had a chance to close on.

They have a few more guys lined up to commit soon, too.

5 star DT Payton Page from NC looks like he'll end up at Clemson.

5 star RB Will Shipley from NC also looking like a Clemson lean

and even 5 star QB Caleb Williams from DC appears to be more than a little interested in Clemson now, even with Lawrence there for another year and Uiagalelei coming in now. He was back at Clemson with both parents for the weekend. Plans to make a decision in a few months.

This is what was said by one of the families of the kids who committed:

“Here they took the approach they want to prove to us they can develop our child, they want to show us they can develop our child into the best possible man and player he can be.” It’s not we can win a National Championship. He’s uber competitive, that’s a give in. We’re going to try and do that anywhere we go. They said when he walks in the door, our goal is to develop your child, is to work with you to develop your child to be the possible man and best possible player to help him reach his goals and be sincere about it and mean it. That’s a big deal and that’s the approach Clemson is taking.”

Yea the cali schools are in worse standing with their kids than florida schools are. The only schools that see to have a grip on their state are the texas schools and LSU in Louisiana.

Georgia schools struggle mightily, too. UGA and GT both miss out on top ranked kids in-state and get poached hard by their $EC rivals. Of the Top 25 kids in Georgia for 2020 (per 247), UGA has 1 signed and 1 committed (he's visiting Auburn this weekend), and GT has 0 signed and 1 committed. Of those Top 25, a total of 20 are already signed with other schools. Aubag's got 6, Clem$on's got 4, L$U's got 3, Baga's got 3 (1 unsigned, but committed), and even Tenne$$ee has 3.
